I have a HS stock that I would like to add a stud to. It has one stud up front, and I would like to add another for a bipod. Have any of you done this, and if so do you have any tips for doing so. Thanks.

I’ve added studs to wood and fiberglass. Just get a t-nut, and a Forstner bit big enough to countersink it in. Use some spray paint and a sponge to apply it to touch up the hole to match paint back.

Just so you are aware, H-S stocks have an internal skeleton of aluminum that goes within an inch of the tip of the forearm.
If you unscrew the stud that is already in place, you'll see it's most likely threaded 8-32 or 10/32.

Yes, you can drill all the way through and use a T-nut, but you're better off using the proper sized bit and tapping it.

Thanks for enlightening me on it
