Don’t think I’m alone with this statement; back when I was 20 my primary concern was to have enough money for dating,
hanging out with friends and making new friends. What the heck is driving these young people, growing up my dad would put the belt to me frequently so I understand making bad decisions had repercussions, is there to much of parents wanting to be friends with their children these days, I look at this aspiring rapper in the previous posting
between the ink and the grill he had a lot of money that was disposable, is he inspirational to other young people, a known artist in his genre ?

Lots of people think their kids can do no wrong and because of that kids do not get proper discipline.

Yep, when I was 20 politics was the farthest thing from my mind. I couldnt have told you who the VP was. I didnt give a shit. I wanted a nice car, more money, and pretty girls.
We are so polarized now. Kids that know nothing are having this shit jammed down their throat 24/7. This kid didnt know anything. He was stupid, just like every 20 year old is. 10-20 years likely he would have had been on the opposite side of politics.
Everyone is to blame. Keep the hate and division strong! Everyone wants this, until its your family hurt or killed.
We are so fucked, and fucking up the next generations too. What we really need is morality, but everyone just wants revenge and to place blame.
Ive mentioned several times, we have been in a civil war for 4 years now, yesterday was just another battle. The next battle might cost you a loved one.
Sad reality we are living in. I dont have kids, but if I did I would get the TVs and internet out of the house and spend the money on books and outdoor activities.....but we wont. We will just keep dividing until nothing is left, just like in a divorce. Nobody wins in battle.
I cant get far enough away from people, but Im trying hard every day for the resources to do just that!

Well said, and being in my mid 40’s, am a lot like you in the fact I try to distance myself from people. But maybe that’s the wrong way of being. Maybe we should be trying to get closer to people to help guide and teach them. Just a thought. I think this is ultimately one of the things Jesus was saying when he said love thy neighbor as thyself. He also was a big proponent of teaching a man to fish instead of just providing a fish. Perhaps we need to be better at teaching the younger generations. We can’t do that if we distance ourselves, as much as I feel you and want to do the same. The question is how exactly. The media has done such a good job at labeling the conservatives the enemy, it’s hard to connect with people, but connect we must and hopefully some of you rubs off and they figure out you aren’t that bad and that the media and some politicians have been lying to them.
When I was 20 I was working on FB 111 aircraft that carried nuclear bombs ,and loved every minute of it , had buddies to party with in the barracks, good food in the chowhall , enough money to get drunk on the weekends and chase putang, damn sure wasn't thinking bout shooting no ex-president.
At 18 I was already enlisted and a Republican. I'm not enlisted anymore, retired in 05, but I'm still a Republican. (Funny enough in our Kindergarden mock election I voted for Nixon.)
At 18 none of us had a full on media blitz from multiple devices made to envoke viceral reactions. Propaganda is a powerful tool.
I did, but because I doubt it actually much of a factor. At least I sure never gave a fuck what most any of my teachers thought, nor did what they told me, or took life advice from unhinged retards. Social engineering through the TV and computer is a far bigger factor. Most people don't even realize how the TV has programmers them to seek revenge.
If someone's kid can't tell a teacher that is unhinged isn't one to listen to. It's probably back on the parents again. At some point it's on the child to make their choice also.

Exactly, most of us were living in a very different world. Far from perfect of course, but we had no continuous stream of propaganda on us. Thanks to the endless shit piped through tik tok, the idiot box and "social" media, the current and future generations are doomed. The parents have a very important job now, more than ever.
People hand their 5 year old a phone and let them watch what ever they want. Your kid knows sevral kids at school that watch and do things that would appaul you. Your kid probably hangs out with these kids. The devil is good and making sin look fun. Then they blame the school for everything their kid learns there. 
There were still polical activists in their 20s doing crazy shit going way back. Although likley younger people manipulated by older people. So likley same same. I am sure some people want to be an activist. Like some people want to be a fireman.
It’s the 24/7 social media shit that parents let their kids watch along with no accountability for anyone including parents these days.
There's a bunch of interviews out there. You'd have to take 30 seconds to find them and look past the ink to see he is surprisingly intelligent. At least he makes it obvious that none of the interviewers took him seriously and were scrambling once they realized he wasn't a total idiot and could actually answer their questions with logic.
He's also a recovering addict, and has stated publicly that he got all the ink done while high or drunk. It's his reminder to himself why he needs to stay sober.
But hey, everyone is perfect when they're young, right?
