The message I received from you ultimately led to me purchasing a scope. This is going to have to be made right by you.
It's NOT the account owner's fault if you didn't do due diligence and got taken by scammer.
The actual account owner is under NO obligation to do anything for you if you got taken by a scammer.
Did you personally know the account holder before hand and had done actual transactions with them before and knew a previous good number / previous good payment address etc?
Did you do a video chat with "the seller" before sending the money?
Did you do a phone call with "the seller" before sending the money?
If not, tough on you and you aren't going to get any help by trying to bully some other innocent victim who got their account hacked into paying you money.
If you haven't been paying attention here, there are lots of scammers all over trying to hijack the PX
You can try all you like, nobody is going to agree with you.
What I might suggest is that you promptly go start following up with PayPal and with your banking and financial institution and start trying to track down where the funds went to and if there is a way to recover them and get any further information on where they went.
Most of the time there is a mule involved and you might be able to get the money frozen at the mule account if you act quick enough.
If you want to have any chance at getting your money back, I'd start hitting the phones hard with PayPal and with your financial institution and see what can be done.
