Maggie’s Song of the day.

One should never forget, that the largest standing army in the world is not in some poor old conscript based cult of personality across the ocean, but right here in the United States. There are an estimated 15 million deer and hog hunters alone, and among them, most are perpetually active in all other forms of marksmanship disciplines, from hunting rams at 700 yards away in the highlands of Colorado, to blasting steel buffalo under 120° heat on the sun scorched Texas brush country at ranges from 400 to 1400 yards with just iron sights. And there are others who might not even hunt, but whose entire careers and livelihoods revolve around scoring in the bullseye ring again and again through grueling sessions lasting up to days in front of thousands of spectators. The only and sole reason that the various grievances and perversions of justice inflicted upon us time and time again by those who think they are better, have seemingly been largely overlooked, is because this standing army is still playing civilized and wish to address the differences of opinion among us through civilized means. After all, one can just head up into the hill country of Harlan and other small towns of the Blue Ridge and ask a member of the Prohibition enforcement bureau of the 1920s just what happens when one has overstayed their welcome. Their mouldering bones covered by tatters of what were once elegant suits can still be seen in the hollers and ravines of the dark Appalachian forests...

There comes a day for every man where he must decide whether to live as a coward and face his eventual deathbed haunted by the things that he could have forced to change and make right, or take up arms when circumstances warrant it, and be as brutal as he needs to be, and risk everything so injustices do not get a chance to run a few more steps before being cut down...

got ticks for the DC and RVA shows for Beat, Belew and Levin from the 80's King Crimson, joined by Steve Vai and the drummer from Tool,

this one just popped up in my youtube feed, and I hope they play it,

FWIW, this will surely be a great tour,
and having seen Belew live solo, and with Jerry HArrison , I can say if you ever get the chance, do it,

Belew is absolutely fantastic,
