Suppressor change POI?

It is going to almost certainly change your POI.

You are asking us to read tea leaves. I don't have any experience with that can, but do with lots and lots of others. My first question would be why in the hillbilly fuck would you shoot a gun unsuppressed ever again? The answer is mostly rhetorical.

Often cans will result in a reproducible zero shift, some shitty cans/shitty rifles/shitty ammo combos make that less reproducible.

Once you start shooting suppressed, there will never again be an unsuppressed zero consideration. If anything, there will be a "I need a shit ton more cans" consideration.

Anything you attach to your barrel will move poi. Even a different muzzle brake

Even if it does and you use a quick detachable setup it would probably be repeatable so you could just see what the difference is on and off and adjust scope accordingly.

Let's just say your can weighs 10 oz. And you developed your load with it on.

When you remove 10 oz your poi will shift, that's not your only problem.

You may also find yourself with a load that is no longer in the node you found, it may not group well.

That's why I have muzzle thread protectors on some, muzzle brakes on others adapters for cans and tuner brakes on some.

I had borrowed my friends suppressor, zeroed my rifle with his. I then bought the same model as his was and then when mine came in I found that the POI shifted between those two. I noticed that the key slots (in the baffles) indexed differently between the two suppressors after being screwed on.

So, that started me on an experiment using a shim kit for muzzle brakes to see if I could get any of my guns to shoot the same zero with a shim added to the suppressor, which indexed the key slots in the baffles at different points.

On one gun I was able to get the same zero. On another it was 2 inches lower so still had to move scope elevation up. A third gun was 1 inch lower. This all at 100 yards.

Since then, I just note how the gun shoots with suppressor on and off, and adjust the scope to compensate. I haven't noticed any issues with the group opening up.

When you start adding / subtracting shims from a muzzle device of any kind you are charging the harmonics. I have had to change loads to get back to where I was on groups.

That's roughly what a tuner brake is doing in controlled repeatable incraments. I can swap loads and reset the tuner for group size.

The poi may still shift but seems like less.
