Love the early optical devices of the 70's and 80's. Huge lasers that were powered by virtually small car batteries caried over the shoulde with long power cords running to the device. Here is an HK illuminating light and projector. All I got was the device itself so I had to rewire it running off a Lithium Ion battery. I have several HK claw mounts. Fits nicely in a radio pouch.

I just re read through Charlie Beckwith's Delta Force book and remembered him saying they developed along with a unnamed manufacturer lights to mount on their guns. I wonder if that was one of them? My understanding is they used alot of subguns, the MP5 being one of them.

To be able to send them some aimpoints and surefire from the future hahaha

Think I saw a forgotten weapons video on the projected cross hair light. Pretty cutting edge back then.

Here is the finished aiming projector with control switch and battery. NFA registered SBR HK MP5K copy and NFA registered suppressor. I built the suppressor on a form 1. I'll try to take a video of shooting tonight.

    Hi .
I’ve just picked up one of these HK ZP Illuminator projectors
I’m not having much luck finding a manual .
Nothing on the HK archive site
Can anyone help with a copy or photocopy of a manual
    or a link ?
    Buffalowinter ?
    Cheers

    Never found a manual
    Hi Rick.
Thanks for the reply re : ZP projector
I accept that it is just a torch on a HK claw mount but I wondered how
    the device is “zeroed” ?
Is it via the claw mount or do you use “Kentucky windage” ?

I see that later models have Allen wrench adjustments on the back
and a zeroing “cup” as shown on “Forgotten Weapons” YouTube channel.

I can’t inspect the unit at the moment as it is in transit to me from a German collector.

    Any information gratefully accepted.

    Regards

    Steve
