Best bet might be to avoid places where folks are likely to send stooges to stage false flag attacks to get the sheeple to agree to a new tyranny "for their own safety"...
Be hard to pick them out, as logic says more bank for the buck, in none blue shit holes would garner a better shock effect. Then again it could all go to shit for them in those places quickly as well.

Some years back, around these parts in Texas (a couple towns over) 2 of the "Known to the FBI" type of followers of The Prophet drove from California to here to shoot up a draw the Prophet contest.

(incidentally the FBI was like "watching over them" the whole way for some reason, but not doing anything to stop them, as normal)

They pull up to the place all tooled up for battle only to get shot in the head before they got a chance to do anything because some crusty old security guard hadn't gotten the memo from the FBI about letting it happen.

It's hard to say for sure, but places where folks are more likely to be armed and more likely to be ready to use it, might not have very many successful attacks.

But it would be a good idea, for everyone to start carrying at Church.
I'll bet just like in Africa, the fanatics try to attack some Churches or such.

Plate carrier "kit" is always sitting on the back seat. Truck AR is always in the truck. Bedside AR next to the bed, etc.

Nothing new. Just be prepared and pray you'll never actually need to be.

It’s fictional, but pretty much lays out how vulnerable we really are.
Read this fictional book and you will double your dance party favors....

Gonna revive this one a little and ask the same question as well as, how much will having dancing shoes ready to go will really help? Some of us who use much of this stuff for competition or work have most of it anyway but some don't and some have a few things but are thinking about it, now more than ever.

It was just a few years ago st Floyd and his overdose plus a dumb cop was used as an excuse to burn down half the country and many were killed. How long before another one of those or worse? We have many new party guest now thanks to bidens border. Should it truly get dangerous in your AO, should you just need to get your kids elsewhere, should you have to go to the store and pass through road blocks (remember those lovely little affairs the cops allowed to happen)..... might be handy to have a few things to protect you and yours? I remember looking at some plates during that time and you basically couldn't find crap. It was all gone.

I guess that's the point right, if/when you do ever need it, you then won't be able to get it, much like other things. I found it interesting to see everyone's views and was looking through so I thought I'd re up this one.

I have thought of bringing my secondary carry that I had during the mostly peaceful protests of 2020. My EDC is an M&P 9 mm with 17 rd double stack mag, 2 extra mags. At that time, I was also carrying another 150 rds in my man purse, AKA tactical ruck, also branded S&W. I still carry that to hold mags.

My secondary was my Windham Weaponry Dissipator M4 A3 in 5.56. 30 rd mags. One mag in, one in the pipe, safety on. 5 more 30 rd mags in the pouches of my non-descript bag that I would carry without great affair or nervousness into my office to put under my desk.

Granted, I work in the part of town where actual work happens. Like garlic and vampires, it wards off most protesters because, ew, work. Likely to break out in a sweat and with aches and stuff.

But I don't go looking for trouble. Work, store, visit my wife, then home.

What kind of edged weapon are you partial to?

Depends. I carry the usually spring back folding knife for opening envelopes and boxes. I have an assortment of knives for skinning and carving deer. Probably my favorite, though, is the bayonette that came with my Mossberg 590A1 SPX 12 ga. It has the lug on the end to which the bayonette attaches.

However, it also has a holster so that you can wear it.

I have a Spyder knife, as well but what I carry when hunting is my Outdoor Edge Wild Pak kit.

Shotguns come with bayonets? That is awesome!!!

Spyderco Native Chief, Harpy, Tatanka, civillian, and police model are pretty good.

Yeah I mean we all carry. With young kids it's difficult to carry my ar pistol but I made a sweet rack that fits my truck back floorboard to carry it, so I can.

I was more referencing stuff other than guns. Like PC, belts, extra mags, ($1 @Ronws ) and such that most may not normally even have much less carry with them, in "normal" times, if we ever have those days again.
