Anybody seeing mailboxes being sabotaged and removed?

I went to drop off a house payment on the 1st and there was a sign on the maibox down the road saying to "Go to the main post office to drop mail off." So I went to the main PO and that mailbox was completely missing. I went inside and asked the guy behind the counter what was up with the mailboxes. He said their own mail truck took that mailbox out front out.

Today I went by the main PO and the drive by mailbox in front is still missing so I went inside and delivered a letter. Then just now I see on Nextdoor the first mailxox down the road that was replaced just yesterday had been run over too.

Someone is targetting the mailboxes out here or the Post Office themselves are. It has to do with mail-in voting and ballot stuffing I bet. The US Post office was complicit in fraudulent voting in 2020.

We've always had a bad meth problem out here and one of the methbillies might be going Ernest T. Bass on the mailboxes but that wouldn't explain why the Post Office hasn't replaced the one in front of their off ice after a month. Somethings going on.

It's no conspiracy. There are organized groups breaking into the Collection boxes.

They are looking for personal information to sell, gift cards and checks. When they get a check they wash out the info you have filled out on the check and make it out to someone different for a different amount. Then they offer some crackhead $25 to cash the check and give them the money. Same for the ones breaking in. Local crackhead gets pain per box they rob and none of the crackheads know the real name of the out of town guy who paid them.

There's a roadside mailbox thats been there for at least fifteen years that someone shot the lock with a .22 RamSet that the poastal service removed.

At the same time a mailbox in front of the Post Office five miles away is run over, according to the postal worker inside (the Post Office, not the mailbox itself) one of their own mail trucks ran over it.
He gets pissy when I say 'What a coincidence.'

A month later they replace the roadside mailbox and someone posts a pic on Nextdoor with a comment, "If you're looking for the new mailbox, it's under this car" and there's a pic of a car high centered on something. The car owner in the pic talking to the police does look methy but so do most people out here. I'm thinking, unless the car is stolen, how smart is it to use your own vehicle to take out a mailbox and stick around to talk to police?

They are breaking into mailboxes right in front of USPS locations here in Colorado and they are recommending that you bring your mail inside for drop-off.
A buddy said thats what he did, went inside and stuck a check in an envelope in the Out of Town slot. Someone washed the check and cashed it. He said it cost him $25K.

I said it sounded like an inside job. No excuse for that to happen once it's inside the Post Office.

Based on the performance of the USPS fuckwits I've seen around here, it wouldn't surprise me that it took a month to get a mailbox replaced.

It actually surprises me that they did it within a month.

But in fairness, UPS and FedEx are almost as bad. They fuck up my deliveries as bad as USPS does... They just do it in fewer days.

And none of them give a flying fuck about making it right.
