LMT Burndown (Yes they both beat KAC)

OK, so, after watching everything.

I understand doing actual work takes money. However, understand this forum is not Arfacom (AR15.com). We expect more information other than - here's a link to a thing - .

I'm no moderator, just a consumer of information. If you could include a short 2-4 paragraphs of information about your test I'm sure everyone would be far more receptive to your hard work and information provided.

Months ago, there was a really funny post about the guy in the video. He took a KAC SR 15 and tried this test and the upper crapped out pretty early. If you watch his burn down videos, usually the answer is a heavier barrel performs better then a lighter barrel. The SR 15 barrel is less chonky so it went to catastrophic failure more quickly then some much less expensive rifles like PSA and BCM.

The brought out all of the KAC fans and led to a pretty decent level of humor.

If you actively read this particular forum, I post fairly frequently and my likes and dislikes are pretty apparent. Like one thing that I am pretty consistent with is my irrational man love for LMT. So when LMT set the all time record and was the first rifle to go to 1k rounds, I put up the quick link.

To your point, without knowledge of the previous video, the responses, ect. This link did not make a lot of sense other then it is fairly apparent that LMT makes a durable rifle. To your second point, being I should have explained I am going to disagree with you. This was absolutely just for fun. This has nothing to do with any rifle and how it would be used in the real world in anyway and I think that is apparent to anyone who watched it.

If you're using your one DI upper at full cyclic rate, there's issues. Make more sighted-in uppers for the functional equivalent of barrel changes.

Even crew served, belt fed weapons need barrel changes every 300-500 rounds. Optimally 200-400 rounds if conditions permit.

The USMC had a barrel change on 240 Bravos every minute under continuous fire so something like 700 to 900 rounds.

I’m in the market for a new pickup. Hopefully he does a video where he takes a new Chevy, Ford and Dodge, starts them up and drops a brick on the gas pedal. Obviously, the one that blows up last will be the best truck.
reminds me of that Top Gear video where they tried to kill a Toyota Hilux.. By the end, they put the truck on the roof of a 20 story structure, did a controlled demolition of the building. Dug out the Hilux and drove it out of the rubble
