Hi there, today is my first time using an ultrasonic cleaner for my brass. The specs on mine are 10L 600W heater and 240W OSC power. I did 100 cases of brass using heat distilled water and a squirt of dawn. I degassed for 5 mins then run two cycles of 20mins. Cases feel squeaky clean but I still see black carbon on the inside and primer pocket (see pics). Is this the expectation or does that mean they are still not clean?

Is there an alternative solution that you recommend?

Add Lemishine at the rate of 1/2 teaspoon per quart of water. Dawn adds to the cleaning or, what I use, Armor All Wash & Wax. Leave in solution no longer than 45-60 mins. Otherwise your brass will turn pink.

The Lemishine helps get a lot of the carbon out.

I use the powder booster and dawn. It won't get the inside and primer pockets "squeaky clean" unless you use the stainless pins. I don't feel that the juice is worth the squeeze dealing with the pins though.
I agree. I like very clean brass but it is just too much trouble to use the pins. Not to mention the damage pins do to the brass and some may get stuck in the brass...IMO. Lemishine in an ultrasonic cleaner, then into walnut media will make the brass as clean as I would want. If I want it to be more shiny I'll break out the Brasso (that will never happen).

Damn this stuff really works lol cases are shiny inside, outside and even primer pockets. No signs for copper. I used Dawn and 1/2 teaspoon of Lemishine per 1L of water. I ran it for 45mins then placed the cases in another bucket with some baking soda to counter any acidic reaction. Awesome and super easy! Thanks for the help guys
