3 year thread bump... heck I'm still running quad rails on some of my rifles.
I still have three Colt 6940 uppers. Despite the lack of regular factory software patches and security updates, they all seem to work fine.
My grandmother successfully hunted deer into her 70s using a rifle manufactured in 1935 and chambered in a cartridge from the black-powder era, and yet nowadays modern gun enthusiasts won't play their paper-punching games with an accessory attachment method that was released a dozen years ago because something different came out two years later.

The ar ones will fit.
They are a little fat in the hand for an AR IMO. Might want to use the skinnier one they make
