Probably the 131 blackjack bullets they were making under contract a while ago if I had to guess. If you put the 6mm 110smk, 131 blackjack, and 6.5mm 150 in a line it looked like the same thing scaled almost.

I'm sure it is, just haven't seen any in the wild. Prolly got a lifetime supply of 135 bergers but hey, more is always better.

That’s fairly shady. Let Blackjack do your R&D and buy the tooling, then choke them out and steal their IP.

I'll agree it looks bad from the surface, but I don't know all the deets of the relationship.
Could easily be on BJ too, only those with proof of the money trail could tell. Did they meet minimums, pay on time...🤷‍♂️

I know one of the founders of BJ personally. I got his side of the deets from him. I asked the relevant questions. He’s a good guy, working stiff enthusiast like the rest of us, I don’t know his partner. My assessment is it’s a bit more underhanded than it even looks. I personally hope they sue Sierra for royalties on all their stolen IP.

Shadyness aside we definitely need more 25 cal options. Bergers are unobtainable and the the Hornady are not great. When I sent my barrels to be chambered the 135s were everywhere by the time I got them back there impossible to get.

It’s been awhile since I shot a blackjack, but I feel like they were secant. The sierras look more tangent to me. Maybe the photo playin with angles? But it don’t look the same to me

Personally, im way more interested in seeing the customers who were fucked over by BJ get some sort of compensation. Shocked there’s never been a class action suit.

Soooo, anyway 🙄. Getting back on track about the actual subject and not the issue that not a single one of us can do anything about……Anyone laid hands on these yet?

Yep. Sierra sent me 500. Haven't shot a single one though, my 25 prc isn't done yet.
So, to follow up. I've done my load development on my 25x47 and 25 prc. The x47 was silly easy. Loaded h4350 up to pressure, came down 1.5 grains and worked up looking for consistency. Found it at 39.3 gr, cci450, Alpha brass. In virgin brass at that charge weight I was getting 2802 fps, SD of around 4. Took it out to 730 yards, put 7 on steel at little over 2 inch group. This was off the top of my truck, bipod and rear bag. Haven't shot any once fired brass yet, If it improves over virgin idk what I'll do, grin from ear to ear I guess. The 25 prc was a little more difficult. Started off with h4831sc, ADG brass, cci200. Same process as the x47. Got about 90 rounds on it and started looking for something consistent. Tried slow velocity, higher velocity and everything in between....nothing! So, I tried some RL26. Didn't know how that would work in a 22 inch barrel, but went ahead. Wanted to run around 3050 -3075 fps for little lower recoil, it's a 9 lb hunting rifle, and longer barrel life. Nothing doing...so, I started adding powder, looking for pressure as it was around 75 degrees still. Kept going until it hit around 3175, that's all I wanted to crank it up to. Found a decent looking plateau, loaded up 6 rounds and run them over the chrono. Bingo! 3182 fps , SD of around 8. For a hunting rifle that's all I needed. Tweaked the seating depth to 25 thou off the lands and it brought home a solid .6 in group. Verified it the next day, little bit better group but velocity stayed the same. All in all this bullet is phenomenal! Don't hesitate to try some out. Oh, and they kill good also. Coyotes hate them!

Haven’t got to shoot mine on paper much but pretty much in line with you. 39gr H4350 got me 2800 and shot a 4in group at 1100. Still doing further testing. Do you have .130 freebore? I got mine with .180

Im happy to have the Blackjack ace bullet back under a different name. Before blackjack sues anyone they need to make sure everyone who ordered bullets and never got their bullets or money back is taken care of.
