Had an interview at a community college for instructor. Things were rolling right along, and even the LGTBQ+ question I handled with grace so I think. I replied with whatever group a person aligns their identity doesn't matter to me so as long as they respect others beliefs & opinions and behave like a decent human. That seemed to get the interviewers approval based upon her body language. Then the DEI question popped up and I called the practice racism in disguise and an exclusion policy. To say we need this many of this "person of color" or this sex/gender for the job is excluding potential candidates highly qualified for a position, but lack the target demographic for the position. I concluded that even Martin Luther King Jr. would disapprove of the DEI philosophy & disgusting practice.

I mean, I didn't want to waste my time and wanted the job, but there are things I just cannot abide.

well if you wanted the job-sorry. but, would working for such a place be a good thing? if you go to the media and can force them to hire you,be sure that they would fire you for 1st "offense". i guess maybe most places are AFU like that now,esp HR departments.

I would also probably lose that interview as well. I don't care who you sleep with and you can call yourself admiral kirk in your spare time. But if you can't do the job, you should not have the job. Ability to do the job has nothing to with skin color or genitals.

That being said, we have all seen video of a woman cop weighing about 150 with gear on unable to drag a 250 lb 6 ft tall cop and his extra 20 pounds of gear 5 feet to get him to safety. We mght say woman are physically different but in the end, she was simply incompetent for the job.
