i don't think st.thomas used either. a lot of modern americans do. i don't think drugs makes them willingly ignorant. i think stupid reinforced by decades of gov schools and msm does.
i think that is true. for example, many refuse to acknowledge that there is considerable child sex trafficking.

This. They labeled the movie sound of freedom a conspiracy theory and said a lot more twisted stuff about it. If this culture continues, the next thing to be normalized is pedophilia. They already coined the term MAP (minor attracted person) and not a lot of people know about this.
Disturbing. Then there’s abortion - child sacrifice masked as healthcare and women empowerment. My sister-in-law has a friend who doesn’t know the difference between a miscarriage and an abortion. Mind you she has three kids and had 5 miscarriages - she also goes out every Friday, does blow, cheats on her husband constantly. Women like her post on Facebook how grateful they are to live in the state of IL, truly disgusting I tell you.
I feel like I keep repeating this. If a whole group of people (and it is a lot) call other people........"Sheeple" or "sheep".......doesn't that make you the "sheeple"?
Perhaps one of the most interesting things about people is, we all do the same shit. We are all sheep! When you think you do something unique, stop and think about ALL the others that have done the exact same thing. There is an interesting video out there about why Amazon became so successful. They figured out the patterns and exactly how sheepish we are!
As far as willful ignorance, we are all willfully ignorant too. Why do you pay the HVAC guy, or the car mechanic, or the electrician, or the tax accountant, or the car manufacturer? Willful ignorance!
Sure, but willfull ignorance is only a problem for things we are obliged to know about. Particularly right from wrong.
There is no moral imperative for each of us to be compent in all earthly endeavors. e.g. I don't need to know how babys are murdered to know that murdering babys is wrong.
