Sounds like there was a deputy taking advantage of woman multiple times in the judges chambers over several months.
Deputy tampering with the woman’s ankle monitor.
Deputy got a slap on the wrist.
Sheriff fired deputy.
Prosecutor and judge are related by marriage. Or were…

Several news stories reported that the judge was known to be quite a perv and the sheriff suspected him of diddling his 17 year old daughter
Apparently they were good buddies, so the situation could have been easy access to her by a trusted friend. If so, I have no ill will towards the sheriff and I applaud his problem solving actions.
If that is the case, he was justified, if it was my daughter, it would have never made it to the argument stage.

This Sheriff's going to walk when this goes to trial. Half the jury will understand when it all comes out and vote to aquit. This is Kentucky folks. You don't fuck around with someone else's daughter.

The sheriff was deposed for 8 hrs on Monday in the judges courtroom about a case where a deputy, the bailiff, was getting sexual favors to not report probation violations of females on house arrest. The sheriff was the bailiff before getting the job as sheriff. The deputy was his replacement in the court. Sounds like it's the normal good ol boy Southern Kentucky inbred shit show in a town of 1,700 people. The prosecutor is married to the sister of the judges wife.
My guess is that the sheriff was getting sexual favors when he was the bailiff and wasn't keen on investigating his replacement and that came out in the deposition.

Sounds plausable. I've known some real dirtbags, one sold drugs and raped a girl before becoming a game warden not to mention getting a DWI. Another old game warden that was 'sponsoring' and grooming him got him off on the 'good ol boy' rule.

bro this is kentucky. I'm not saying you're wrong, but here he will get a fair shake and if he convinces a bunch of grown men(and women)in a fair trial he did the right thing, he will eventually go home a free man.
not totally sure he did the right thing, just saying here in south east ky it do be like that.
also keep in mind, it is kentucky, we are mostly all related if you go back a few generations, so yeah it will get complicated with family ties, that doesn't necessarily mean anything right off other than they may have had a leg up in the interview process.

The trial will be moved out of the county because of the relationships and close ties. If the state takes over and moves it to Lexington he's screwed. If the judge was a pedo and the daughter was involved the sheriff may get a sweet plea deal.
who's to say he doesn't deserve prison time. but dont assume i believe that, just playing devil's advocate. Just have to sit back and let the system do it's thing and see how it plays out. I have much more faith in the kentucky court system than most other state courts, but I could be naive
