Just got me a Barrett MRAD in 300 PRC but might eventually get a 338 Lapua barrel for it, so I want to get a 338 suppressor that'll work for the 300 and 338. Any suggestions? Also if anyone has experience installing a can to an MRAD I'm all ears. I've heard the brake is a pain to detach. Thank! Also, this is my very first post to Sniper's Hide :)

I love my SilencerCo Omega 36-M on my MRAD, and use it for literally all of my barrels ... 300-PRC, 300-WM, and 338-LM. Paired with ASR brakes on all barrels and an ASR mount on the can, everything is quiet and accurate. Hard to beat that combination, although a number of non-SiCo cans can probably match it. I've had awesome customer support from SilencerCo though, so I'm very loyal ... with 8 cans from them that all work great on my arsenal.

Nothing will come close to beating a thunder beast 338 ultra gen 2 in suppression on 338

^^This. I have 2 Gen 1s, and have a Gen2 in jail right now (SR version on the Gen 2). I use them on everything from 6.5-.338, and everything in between.

TBAC Magnus full size HUB or SR

You will want a barrel vise to get the Barrett brake off. Mine had some kind of gnarly threadlocker, heat and a vise fixed that.

As mentioned a TBAC 338 Ultra is going to be the best. I have used one and have a RR version on order for my 338LMAI.
With that said I have also used a dead air Primal and been pleasantly surprised by the performance. They are in stock right now and cheap. I ran one on my rifle for a 8th place finish at Nightforce this year.

As someone above said…. Nothing will come close to the Thunderbeast Ultra 338. I ran the old one on my MRAD and have just received the new RR version so I’m running it now. I can shoot all day long with no ears and my ears are super sensitive. It’s more quiet to the ear than a sub 9 with a can.

I’m running the Magnus SR for 30 cal and the KGM R338 for 338. Eventually I’ll buy the RR Magnus 338 can for 338
