I was interested in creating profile for a 22LR. I have the Geovid 3200s and the app only has options for 100M or 200M for zero profiles. Is this new offering from Leica offer different options with the AB Elite?

Yes, the Pro models you can custom input your zero range. The 3200 are a .com model so you cannot.

Does the ballistic solver (ie, 2.4 mils up, left .4) read out in the binos themselves?
I dont have Leica RF binos to know what the current display is.
Video wasnt the clearest to me on that.

And provided all is set up prior, how long from range to solution being visible?

Do you have to leave your phone attached via bluetooth for the entire time or only to link your data for rifle being used?

Thank you for posting some info on this! I am still a little unclear though. When comparing the features to the Geovid Pro 10x42 for example, it looks like the only difference is the full AB Elite suite is pre-installed (vs. a paid upgrade on the Pro’s) and the inclusion of the “shot probability analysis” and associated display (points 1 and 2). Correct? Or is there more to it?

I really like that it is all ready to go out of the box without a paid software upgrade/hassle. The color is cool for sure too, so that is all a good step. Just making sure I fully understand the set of differences/updates here like everyone else. Look forward to checking these out either way. Thank you again for getting the details out and answering questions. Much appreciated!

Yes the display gives you the firing solution and hit probability inside the binos.
About 2 - 3 seconds to get the solution.
You do not need your phone connected, the solver and profile are stored on the binos.

I would like information from a reliable source regarding the laser beam divergence size of this Leica Geovid Pro AB+
I found the following:
- I now use a Leica Rangemaster 2800.com which has a 0.5x2.5 mil laser beam divergence
- A friend of mine, now uses a Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 (the black one). On the official Leica website it is mentioned that it has a laser beam divergence of 1.2x0.5 mrad. (both for the 8x42 and 10x42 versions), but in the product manual the information is different and it is mentioned that it has a laser beam divergence of 0.8x1.8 mil (vertical 0,8mil and horizontal 1,8mil)
- Also, according to the Leica website, the Leica Geovid Pro AB+ has a laser beam divergence of 1.8x0.8mil
So:
2800.com 0,5x2,5 = 1.25 mrad
Geovid Pro 1.2x0,5 = 0,6 mrad or 0,8x1.8 = 1,44 mrad (it is not clear which value is the correct one)
Geovid Pro AB+ 1.8x0.8 = 1.44 mrad

It is absolutely surprising to see that exactly the top version Geovid Pro AB+ is listed with the largest laser beam divergence, even greater than the one from Rangemaster 2800.com.
It doesn't even make sense to compare the 1.5x0.06 mrad (0.09 mrad) from Sig 10K ABS

Since I'm considering putting my money down for a Geovid Pro Ab+, please tell me if what I wrote above is correct, or if not, which of the contradictory printed official data (attached below) is wrong?

I was also looking into these. Leica’s website says the solution is delivered in under 0.3 seconds which sounds like an improvement. Not sure how long it takes to cycle through elevation and wind outputs if they are not putting both on same screen. Maybe 2-3 seconds is duration for whole cycle, per Doc?

If elevation solution is done in less than 0.3s then I think that’s an improvement when I may be using other methods for wind.

Perhaps this silence is itself an answer. Who knows?
I still hope that the aspects discussed above will be clarified at some point. For now, I've put the purchase on hold until I can figure out the exact specs.
Today I talked with a friend who is also interested in Geovid AB+, but who wants it primarily for measuring targets in competitions (and additionally for hunting). And he was also left with a question mark, wondering how accurately it will measure targets as small as 1 mrad with a larger laser beam than 2800.com has?
For now, we both decided to buy a Leica PRS 5-30x56 scope each and to wait with Geovid. We will probably keep an eye on the SIG 10k, although honestly the blue tint of the lenses does not attract me at all. But if the laser beam is indeed 16 times smaller than the Geovid AB+ (0.09 mrad vs 1.44 mrad), I think I can forget about the lenses (and I still have $1000 left in my pocket

), especially since the binoculars will not be dedicated strictly to hunting and observations during the evening.

P.S.: Do you know if the reticle in Geovid Pro has the same size as the reticle in 2800.com? (I mean only the diameter of that red circle inside)

I pinged Hamilton at Leica about the beam divergence specs in the Geovid pro AB+. Given it's the weekend, I don't think we will probably get an answer until next week. My suspicion is that it's probably the same laser as the existing Geovid pro units but that is purely a guess.

The correct number on the pro 32's is 1.2x.5 mil. I questioned Hamilton about this back when I reviewed the Pro 32's.

I have the Pro AB+ model and I like them a lot. The app is pretty cool too. I didn’t have any trouble ranging out to 1000 yards at a PRS range after our Rimfire match was over. I also plan on using them hunting later this year.

Why shows me the Software (Rangecard at App or the Binocular) at my Zero Range (100m) always Elevation 0.1D and Wind 0.1R?

Same data on my Kestrel shows Elevation 0 and Wind 0 like expected.

Wind and Inclination are set at zero.

Is it the same for you or do I have another error somewhere?

What you are seeing here is aerodynamic jump. Set the wind speed to zero to see that go away.

As long as your Pro's Bluetooth is turned on, its display is on, and your Kestrel is set to "device" under its Bluetooth menu, you should be able to search for the Pro from your Kestrel's search function and connect. Please email me if you have any trouble. [email protected]

FoV is the same+/- 2 or 3 feet. While the brightness in the 32 is less than in the 42, the 8x32 is as bright as my Leica Amplus scope with a 56mm objective lens, set to 8x (the brightest setting for that scope). So I can always see with my bino when I can see with my scope. To me, the biggest drawback is if you do a ton of long term glassing sessions. You will get eye-fatigued quicker with the 32 than the 42 because of its 3.2mm exit pupil vs. the 4.2mmEP of the 42. I'm not an experienced western hunter, but I know and work with a lot of them, and many love the 8x32 for this reason. More FoV, similar low light performance and eye fatigue(because of 4mm EP) in a smaller, lighter package than the 10x42. They go to their scope to judge small details. The refrain I hear is "I find game quicker with the 8x, then I judge it with my scope".

And in some cases, resolution is even better with the 32 (a new product) the 42 (an older design). Don't ask me why, but it's true. Both 32s are killer.
