Ok guys and gals let’s hear what everyone’s reload data is looking like for the new 22 arc with the new 62gr eld/vt bullet. I know from my 20in proof it sure likes the factory and pushing them at about 3200fps.

I can say I have killed a ton of prairie dogs the past 3 days with the factory hornady 62gr eld-vt ammo. I have killed a ton 886 plus here is one that was a 372 yard kill. I just want some reloading info for the 62gr eldvt this factory stuff is shooting 1/2inch or better out of a 20inch proof barrel now but I like to reload and I have about 300 empty cases now to reload for and I know someone has to have some info on these rounds thanks in advance for any info

This is my 22 ARC with the factory 62vt ammo. I am loading with Accurate 2230 and started at 28.5g and worked up to 29.4. I think I'll hit 3300 fps at about 29.2g but looking for a consistent node.

Following.....

FYI....My plan was to shoot factory ammo for the brass and then reload. However the factory is shooting awesome out of my brand new 18" barrel at 3200 fps. I only have 30 rounds down it so I expect it to speed up as well.

Also, with H4895 non-existent, has anyone tried IMR 4895?

All the factory offerings shoot great in mine as well. I am only looking to tweak the load to make it more consistent from shot to shot.

CFE223 & Accurate 2230 is all I have tried as it was powders I already had.

I know 30.9 Grains of Accurate 2230 is *** MAX*** not a place to be although it does shoot flat as hell out to 600 with that charge and bucks the wind very well. I was noticing a heavy bolt lift and it did not have a comfortable recoil on a tripod.

I did some final testing for me on my 62g load with Accurate 2230. This is a Predator & Deer rifle for me w/ predators being the primary. I wanted a soft load near 3300fps for tripod shooting.

The load felt good off of the tripod. It sounded good suppressed & that's all I truly need.

62g ELD-VT
Accurate 2230
Hornady 22-ARC Casings
CCI Primers
COAL 2.262
Average Velocity 3235
SD-7.2, ES-25

** Rifle **
Zermatt Origin Action w/ WTO Switch lug
Carbon6 22" 22-ARC barrel
Foundation Revelation Stock w/ MDT Bottom metal
Gen2 Razor w/ Impact 4000 on top.

** Work your load at your own risk. Dont trust my numbers even though I am WAY below max powder charge. **

I set my Super-Trickler to throw at 28.46 +/- .02 and turned out 50 rounds in less than 30 minutes from seating primers to seated bullets. I just need more brass now. I only have about 60-70 more casings. Alpha needs to hurry up!!!
