This is just blocks from where I eat breakfast sometimes.

Two 'dark skinned males, one wearing a Muslim turbine' tried to block a church exit with a rock. Armed church goers weren't having it. Shots were fired and one 'dark skinned male' exited a white van brandishing an AR15 before fleeing north.

Austin's news channel also covered it but of course left out the description of the two terrorists.

I spoke to a good church going buddy of mine that lives in Burnet and he said that the initial report was a Muslim looking man placing a large rock to block an exit door to the church and when he was spotted he ran back towards the van where there was another Muslim looking man with some type of rifle with extended magazine and so the church goer opened fire. I guess that peaceful religion was planning a mass murder of christians today.

Yes, most likely recent immigrants bringing their religion with them, ready to subjugate the heathen.

Was it a marine turbine, or an aircraft one?
Probably wearing just an attic turbine. It was 90 degrees up here today.

Democrats all over the world are attacking Christians and Jews and burning their places of worship. Over 100 churches in Canada and hundreds in France including Notre Dame.

Democrats are basically evil.
A Jew I went to high school with called me today. He said he went to an indoor range and rented a supressed Uzi. He now wants to know where he could buy one.

I told him I didn't know, but if he finds one be prepared to bring his Capital One card. Plus he's going to need some stamps. He's a Hillary/Obama/Obiden/Harris supporter who stays glued to CNN and says I'm a conspiracy theorist because I say the 2020 election was stolen.

He also blamed me personally for the Columbine massacre when it happened because I owned ARs.

Now, it appears he's scared for his safety.

I'm inclined to call BS on this one ,no evidence to backup those claims with all the security cameras and dash cams and everyone having a cellphone camera these days what are the chances of no videio of said mini van , sounds a little fishy to me .

tell him to call the demoncratic party, and ask them how to go about obtaining one. He likes them so much, and the way they do things....

Why does he have your phone number?

When I trained at Sig I recall people in class saying there reason for being there was that they were security at their church and wanted to be proficient.

The one dude that comes to mind traveled from GA.

Good for them.
Not long ago, some old methbilly tried to break in through a locked back door of a cell phone store right down the road from where this happened yesterday. He was confronted by armed customers inside and held at gunpoint until the local PD could take him away.

I like my town.

…though if it was really an islamist (assuming this event actually occurred), it was more than likely a keffiyeh:

Thanks in advance from your local chapter of pedantic grammar nazis.
Thank you, 91Eunozs.

I had an ex like that, that would correct every intentional tongue-in-cheek mis-use of a word that everyone else thought was funny. She was a real blast to have around.

Dunno…. Random image grabs from the interwebs. Will snip and do a direct upload to avoid any redirect issues.
I'm not sure he was referring to a redirect issue. You remember Veer, our resident Sikh, of course. I think he meant Veer would take offense on a Sikh image being used in this Ialamic terrorist thread. Though Veer did have a wicked sense of humor.

I was right, Burnet county sheriff's office just released a statement, the church incident was a hoax ,the caller has been arrested for making a false statement and other charges are pending , fucking goober.
I was in HEB in Marble Falls around 2:30 and there were four MF police cars parked outside the entry with cops stationed at both entrances. I asked one what was going on, were they looking for Muslims.

He resonded "Looking for Muslims??"

I said "Yeah, after yesterday morning at the church in Burnet."

He said, "Oh, yeah, I heard something about that."

There were more local cops and DPS in Burnet yesterday morning than you could stir with a stick.

I have the turbine question resolved. It has been staring us in the face, so to speak, for decades.

It is a means of conveyance, some type of train.

"My uncle has a country place that no one knows about.
He says it used to be a farm before the motor law.

On Sundays when I elude the eyes and hop a turbine freight
to far outside the wire where my white-haired uncle waits..."

So sang Geddy Lee in "Red Barchetta."

You are welcome, internet.

Turns out the whole story was made up. The "safety officer" who reported the "attack" has been arrested and charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he was messin’ around with his pistol and had a ND, and then when folks came running out to see what was happening, he panicked and made up the bullshit story. I guess we’ll find out in due course.

So instead of being small town hero that saved the church from terrorists, he's now a felon and will lose his job at Winkley's Hardware?

What a dufas.

Church at The Epicenter Senior Leader Kyle ByrdByrd posted on his social media that their team “intercepted a team of jihadists seeking to enter our facility with a ‘large caliber rifle with a banana clip.'”
