You be the judge.

Wouldn’t his have to be clearly marked?

Edit: google shows bright white markings

Speaking of which:

Am I an asshole(trick question) for not liking YouTubers making videos of them helping people? It reads more look at me than these people need help. It just seems like they emphasize their deeds a lot more than the issue.

I took it as someone showing yet another example of all the "help" they're getting from the .gov types up there.

Depends on the person. Cleetus had about 5 minutes of video after 2 days of flying his MD500. Then he told people where they could donate and what was needed.

He put millions of eyeballs on the problem within the first couple days and then went back to his normal routine.

However, he isn't trying to get famous. He's just putting eyes on the problem using his platform that he built over the last 8 years.

That was a military helo, or a helo associated with the .gov in some fashion. It's not a civilian unit, if it were, it would have a tail number that was visible.

Wonder if it was helos out of campbell, i don't know if bragg, with it being a airborne unit, would have any of those around, but i've been out for 24 years, so i'm operating on very, very old assumptions and knowledge.

Devils advocate, a lot of these areas aren’t exactly brimming with great helo landing spots what if they were having an issue, or comms problems? I’d like to hear both sides of the story since this was exaggerated with claims of the destruction and some rando walking their dog doing “security sweeps”

It was NCNG.

I wonder if it’s possible they had supplies (water, first aid kits, etc) to drop off but decided to leave when all the Tier 1 Securitie Puttrolls screaming, “get on outta heyyaa” came running.

Or, if they decided landing was unsafe due to crowded conditions on the ground.

Nah…. Definitely trying to “rotor wash” the real Americans into submission.

And it’s the local NG supposedly

Oh, for fucks sake!

This was a recon by the good ol boy club, tryin to help. Natl Guard guys are NOT your enemy. Next time, clear off a spot to land supplies and organise with these guys. They're your neighbors, tryin to help. They had their facilities & shit tore up same as everbody else on the ground.

People in the air had no comms with ppl on the ground, otherwise, coulda helped. If they was bad guys, & wanted to hurt, they wooda hosed the ground with mg, roped out assault force to roll thru & burn everything. And used more than one. Probly a NC Guard brass having a look-see.

Maybe even TN guard. I bet TNARNG/278 ACR from Knoxville will be around soon. These guys are your neighbors, looking to help, not some FEDboys looking to cause trouble.

Shoot it down? If they are waging war against you, maybe it's time to return the favor? Communists are here to kill you, not help you. Kamala has made that perfectly clear. Help for muslim terrorists not for taxpayers.

Shortened your cartridge by a cooter hair, sorry not sorry…🤣

Sorry, guess I failed to see the benefit of shit blowing all over the place. It did look real helpful.
Sorry I guess your definition of shit blowing all over the place and mine are quite different.

The video clearly showed loose shit blowing around. While actual packages remained on the ground.

But go ahead, defend the hype, it is your right. It is bad enough FEMA has failed to deliver, no need to make shit up. Let the actual truth stand on its own.

this!

clearly, this was the pilots first time flying a helicopter, how could "they" possibly know that "their" aircraft pushes massive amounts of air directly below itself in order to stay airborne?

give "them" a break, I mean, who could possibly know a helicopter would do that??

looking at pictures of the area from a distance away you can clearly see all the well marked landing areas right in the middle of all the "crowded conditions on the ground" shit going on there......

maybe "they" just didnt notice the "crowded conditions on the ground" when "they" came in on "their" approach and figured the awnings "they" saw were ok to land on?

hell, we all know peace time airborne operations are basically a free for all, do as you like for .mil personnel.....

this "person" was either an absolute complete fucking retard or "they" did this on purpose.

Personally, I have a very hard time believing a military pilot did this on accident, regardless of the damage done, or the title of the video, this was either a really, really fucking stupid ass move or something else.

I find it very hard to believe this is an accident or unintentional mistake.

And not one mention of transponder ID checks or attempts to radio contact them......with tons of other helos in the area running the gear to do so.

Suspicious from both directions if you ask me.

Bragg has a shit ton of 60s sitting in Simmons AAF. Plenty of other birds as well.

Even airborne chumps gets to jump from helos

Regardless of what what you think is blowing around, in that situation, how helpful does that look? Wouldn't you love to be a coordinator there dealing with that shit on top of everything else? Doesn't make a fuck if it was just trash cans, it's still adding an extra layer of aggravation to an already shitty situation. And as far as making shit up, the video speaks for itself.

Like I said, DEFINITELY an airborne terrorist.

remember that time I said I’ve set up a bunch of LZ’s(in urban areas)and used logic to say it looked like they were landing, then pulled off when they saw shit blowing over instead of instantly making assumptions about them doing it on purpose?

Seems like a stupid time to ground a crew. they made a small mistake, saw it and kept it from getting worse.

That is exactly what it looks like in the videos…
Grounding the crew is repercussion of the media and people perceiving the situation was intentional and malicious. Our world today is full of stupid fucktards.

I mean true.... that crew should have known landing that close to a bunch of people and stuff on the ground would result in exactly what happened. Grounding and remedial training seems fair actually.
If you are only given so many places to land you don’t really have much choice but to try, they pulled off as soon as a tent flips.

They aren’t in a 100acre empty lot, it’s a retail location surrounded with obstacles they have limited options and it’s out of the ordinary circumstances.

This is the type of shit that make’s people not take us seriously

Omg did you see how severe the rotor wash was when the dog was flying off into the air but the owner was holding on for dear life to the leash and the dog was almost ripped away. My heart goes out to those poor souls. ✊🏿.
I bet if it was your family or your life turned upside down you wouldn't be so fuckin flippant. Regardless of intent, how fuckin helpful did that look to the situation? I bet the folks there were tickled to death for the help. Not like they had anything pressing going on.
