Any recent experiences with the solus factory barrels in 6.5?

Looking to build a couple inexpensive rentals and these are just so sneaky appealing at the price point.

Can anyone here report recent performance experience with the oem BA pipe on a solus?

Definitely avoid .308 Win barrels… Apparently none of those shoot worth a shit. Mine didn’t. The 6.5CM barrels seem to be MUCH better.

Here’s my factory Solus 22” Sendero 6.5CM rifle with the very first 25 rounds of load development with random components (for me, I’ve never owned a 6.5CM until now), and it’s showing some promise.

These were the very first 25 shots on a brand new rifle and barrel, with a freshly cleaned barrel.

Not sure what the hell happened at 44.0 grains, but something weird did. The first 2 groups might have been tighter (by OA measurement), but other than the 1 random flier (that was me) on the last 2 groups, you can see how much tighter the shots were in conjunction with each other as the barrel settled in.

those last 5 rd groups would be plenty for the intended purpose ( mainly not burning up my personal rifle for newbie students) and probably pays for itself after 1 PVA made barrel. i like it

They're great actions to build on. I have 3, waiting on the 4th to ship anytime now.

The only things I will give you a heads-up on is...

1.) swap the grip to something more ergonomic and comfortable.
2.) immediately retorque the action screws to 65 in.lbs,
3.) the actions aren't overly smooth right out of the box. They take some working in with use, but after 500-1,000 cycles, they really slick up like all the other higher-priced actions.
