Battle of the 16 inch DMRs .308 vs 6.5 surprise

Not surprising to me, my 16" 308 is ready for 1200yds.
I like the 6.5 CM and have auto and bolt, but the 308 with new components has no problem keeping up. I'm running 168 ELDM 2756 fps and 208 ELDM 2442 fps in 16" 308 AR 10 that weighs 6 lbs without the scope, with excellent accuracy.
Either caliber will do the job...

I guess I never really looked at the 169s because they were never in stock. With a BC of .527 and the 178s being .530 and in stock I’ve always went with them. Plus i don’t have access to anything longer than 1k yards. I know the 169s should shoot a little flatter and maybe go a little longer but that wouldn’t help me. It’s also one of the reasons why I haven’t jumped ship to the 6.5CM.

I have two loads above this but the accuracy fell off and I have not re-tried them after adjusting my seating depth. These were fired at 200 yards using a Tripod with me sitting in a folding chair. Sig Tango 6 4-14×44, BHO with 20" PVA barrel.
195 grain Sierra TMK
Fed LR Mag Primers
Viht N-550
New Fed Brass

I am, by no means, an expert but this load, in this rifle, makes me smile.

I used the cheap 147 FMJs to get my baseline.
