I left the Leatherman brand a long time ago. This is an updated version of the model that I've had for several years. The edges are rounded so it doesn't feel uncomfortable when using it as a plier. I can squeeze it without it feeling like it's cutting into my hand.

The MUTT is made in the US, and has a 25yr warranty, they'll take care of it. I've had mine for about 12 years, never had an issue.

Get a real a pair of pliers. CeeTee Co. They make a little scabbard for your belt to carry them in. I am not sure if you're allowed to farm around here without both.

I had a Leatherman Kick for years… It went through a hay baler I’m pretty sure. Never saw it again.

I’ve had this one since I stole it from my old man’s dashboard somewhere around 2000. It’s a warhorse that has taken some serious abuse (though maybe we can’t expect it to live up to DeerSniper levels of abuse). I use it constantly.
Shortly after high school, I tossed it in my tackle box on a fishing trip to FL with some buddies. We ended up doing some saltwater fishing, wading out to a beach sandbar in waist deep water with it in my swim trunks pocket. At the end of the day, the beers were flowing and I tossed it in my tackle box and totally forgot about it for ~3-6 months. When I rescued it, it looked like it had been pulled up from the titanic. A few days soaking in PB Blaster and a brass brush, and it looked like brand new again with only slight discoloration at the hinge on a few of the attachments.
I’ve carried it in my right front pocket for ~12 years since cleaning it up. Been thinking I’m going to give it to my son eventually. I keep a newer model Leatherman in my vest at work, and it’s very obviously not the same quality.
Get on eBay. You can still get one with the original belt case for $65.

I buy waves as I lose them. They're good at what they are, and they are not a replacement for your normal tool belt.
I carry a belt full of Klien and Knipex every day. The wave is still 100% more useful in the pocket hunting and needing to mess with a single screw or cut 1 wire.

If you ever want to identify the best pliers for a particular task, check Knipex first. If they don't make it, just try whatever is left.
Their diagonal cutters are tight and sharp enough to cut copy paper straight out o the pack.

I got a leatherman core from my wife as a wedding present 20 years ago....its been back for warranty twice and is currently broken as well....and not from misuse.

Me too, but we never know when some millennial might be following and not know what the colloquial term really means, so I use Amazon approved search criteria.
Still the best pliers I have ever used. If I had a pair of Knipex Cobra pliers in 1983, I would have carpet bombed the Channellock factory.
