What are you listening to?

So much for @DeathBeforeDismount ’s limp wrist music! Of course if you were to look at my play lists you would see most everything from Classical to Metal! I shocked a coworker when Lemmy passed away, he didn’t expect a Red Neck to know Motörhead.

Maybe it’s my generation, but 5FDP and Motörhead reach me as much as Waylon and Willie. 🤘

Based on musical taste this site has more fags than grindr.

I'll start. Classic oldies for me.

Grew up in the 60’s. No autotune or other electronic devices. You either had it or you didn’t. Sam Cooke, Righteous Brothers ( google Bobby Hatfield singing Unchained Melody live in ‘65), the Big O ( Roy Orbison ), Elvis, Supremes, Temps and the Tops ( Motown ), the Ventures, etc., etc. Great music, you could dance to it, not filthy, often romantic.

60's & 70's music will always be the best.

Agree. There is, however, some of the 80’s music that I like. Found myself liking The Purple One!

… and some from even more recent decades just flat sounds great to me despite my predilection for ‘Classic Rock’ bands.

Something from Guster and/or Cake always seem to find a place on my play lists.

Good music with a strong message, or even just well-performed by someone with actual talent vs. auto-tuned crap will almost always sound good to the ear, regardless of genre.

It's a mellow Sunday evening

That version of Sweet Jane haunts me… Toss up for me between that one, and the cover by Lou Reed for my favorite version though.

In the same vein, and somewhat ironically, I still think the Dixie Chicks cover of Landslide is the absolute best version of that song I’ve ever heard, including the original. I literally can’t stand them or their politics, but man, what a song…
