Does anyone know the drive size that comes on the Impact Precision action wrenches whether its 3/8 or 1/2? looking to buy a torque wrench to fit it.

Yea I wish it was just a standard socket type like all the other wrenches but im looking to get a torque wrench for it and I cant find the size listed on any of the sites. I assumed 1/2 as well.Apparently they changed it. Mine is a socket head. Most likely a 1/2” drive considering the amount of torque.
Not any more. Looks like they changed the design. They use a 13/16 socket.
Extensions and sockets do cause variation of actual torque
I know I'm right on the torque variation with extensions, I turn wrenches for part time living. It also depends on what socket, extension, and length of extension. Cheaper tools and various metals used in those tools will determine as much about variation as torque range. Spot on about impact though, extensions "soften" the shock of an impact gun, negating usefulness. As I said, I'm not aware of any action that doesn't have a fairly broad range(20+ft/lb).That’s actually not true, at least at the torque values that you’d be using on an action. It takes enough torque for the extension or adaptor to actually deflect which is a hell of a lot more than 100ftlbs and still isn’t much loss of torque. There are documented tests on this and I’ve tested it myself.
The only place extensions and adaptors really reduce torque is on impact tools and that’s by nature of how they work which is totally different than hand torque.

That's an old picture. They are 13/16. I guess we should update it. Thanks. Not any more. Looks like they changed the design.
Gotcha, extensions don't effect torque applications, lol.I know you’re wrong. There’s plenty of videos on YouTube that you can watch of people actually testing it.
Sorry about that, I thought it was a new picture. I'm gonna blame it me on being old with poor eyesightThat's an old picture. They are 13/16. I guess we should update it. Thanks.
