This DOGE will be one of the more interesting things to see from the Trump admin in the next year or so.

Here are some of the most insane statistics about the waste and inefficiency of the US government and why Elon and Vivek's new DOGE is such an incredible and crucial development for America:
•The CBO revealed at least 1,264 federal programs and bureaus have expired authorizations, but they still received $516B in funding for FY2024
• The Government Accountability Office estimates the federal government wastes $247B in taxpayer money each year
• The Department of the Treasury reported $24.5B in "unreconciled transactions" in the past meaning it spent ~$25B on unknown items
• Department of Agriculture employees misused government issued credit cards spending millions on personal purchases like concert tickets, tattoos, lingerie and car payments
• $33.2M was spent on transgender monkey research
• The NIH spent part of a $2.7M grant to study Russian cats walking on a treadmill
• The DoD ruined $170M of military equipment by leaving it outside

This will answer the question of what kind of government do we have. Is it a government that controls the people thru a massive, evil and stupid bureaucracy that the people are powerless to control or is it a government by the people and for the people?
I worked in the BOR, at a large hydroelectric plant. We essentially had five or six levels of management between us and the guy who was actually in charge of the entire facility. He had four or five levels of management over him that extended to a central office a few states away and then onto Washington DC. Any decision had to go thru all ten layers, thus no one manager could be blamed for any decision and any manager along the way could shitcan whatever you were doing with no oversight or recourse. It was impossible to get anything done.
Before I retired, I looked at the list of projects we had scheduled into the "Five Year Plan". Some of them had been in the five year plan for 30 years and had completion dates 10 years in the future, some of the newer ones had completion dates decades past that. These projects were essential for the safe delivery of electricity to the entire western United States. Some of them had to be completely redone over and over because the equipment required and designed had become obsolete and the original engineers and project managers had long ago died or retired.
We actually made money for the federal government, the only department of the federal government that turns a profit for taxpayers. We did it while delivering a product cheaply for the rate payers as well. But, we had 500 employees working at a facility that honestly required maybe 200 on its best day. We had entire offices to cater to sexual deviants, native Americans, minorities or some other protected class. We did not have a single employee in an administrative function to help you work your way thru the retirement system, help you manage TSP, help you work thru the 25 insurance plans offered by the government. Anything to do with actually helping an employee was farmed out to salesmen from various insurance and annuity companies.
The entire system is designed to allow management and many types of employees to be immune from blame. They can work an entire career without ever making a decision or signing off on a project. Nothing can get done and they will get awards and promotions for utterly failing time and time again. At one time we had seven safety people, none of them had ever left their offices and so much as walked around the project. They simply worked for a year, got a higher GS rating and transferred elsewhere to get higher pay.
Except my job. If I make one single mistake or fail one time to correctly operate equipment or switches. A report is filed, it goes to Denver to get reviewed by a faceless flunky and I can get reprimanded or fired. My annual eval can get lowered and it costs me money. I actually got reprimanded once because while I was conducting training of apprentices, the minority apprentice decided they had better things to do and left for the day. Why? Because he did not work for me. So, he was allowed to do as he pleased and somehow it was my fault.
The only people who can actually get fired are white men. No matter how poor a person of color or questionable gender does their job, they are essentially immune from all action. A person of color can vape or smoke in buildings and company trucks, sleep at work, play games on their phone 24/7/365, you name it and they do it. 100% safe from management. Their assigned work is simply added to someone else's plate.

Sounds like the hooker pool is going to grow significantly! This will be great to lower prices.
This is like building a 21700 battery or battery pack with an integrated smart circuit that regulates output and input and cuts off power if it detects abnormal surges, shortcircuiting, reverse polarity, or overheating. ALL high output batteries built with safety in mind now has this system built in. DOGE is the equivalent of a safety circuit for the bureaucracy and is probably the MOST innovative concept in the contemporary time.

Of all the swamp draining tactics, this one could be the most impactful. Unemployment is going to go through the roof because all the .gov workers who are wildly unqualified and incompetent won't be able to get hired in the private sector. Better get some welfare refrom going too....
