In fact tonight I was out enjoying one of the custom 62 mm 3X Germanium Magnifiers he made for me that fits perfectly via QD on an Iray RH25 and turns it into a beast of long range spotter. Watched two 10 point bucks tonight at about 400 yards and could clearly see their antlers which a lot of thermals are incapable of rendering this time of the year when they are hard and almost the same temperature as the background.
With this setup I can use the RH25 in thick environments and shorter range in Wide FOV or quickly QD the 3X Magnifier on and at 2X digital zoom in hand held mode = 2.6x on the RH25 plus a 3X Magnifier be at 7.8X Narrow FOV (320 x 256) for longer range open field spotting. Makes the RH25 and excellent unit for this role. The really cool thing is that even with the maginfier on you can rotate the RH25 into Helmet/Clip On Mode and it goes back to 1X times 3X Magifier = 3X at (640 x 512). So it is just a flip of the unit to go from 7.8X (320 x 256) to 3X (640x512). This is truely a very unique spotter settup that is the most friendly and versitile I have ever used. Throws and outstanding image in both 640 x 512 or in 320 x 256.
