Bad pick.

The nomination of former Florida AG Pam Bondi for the position of U.S. Attorney General is a big mistake; not for the corrupt background of Bondi that we presume President Trump is not aware of, but rather for the background of Pam Bondi the Deep Swamp is almost certainly aware of.

Within the background story of state AG corruption and unlawful activity, Pam Bondi is very easily leveraged, blackmailed and controlled.
I presume at this writing that President Donald Trump is completely unaware of what Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi did during her time in office. The Florida Governor at the time was Rick Scott, who could most certainly corroborate much of the background, albeit now with layers and layers of serious political ramifications.
If you followed the story around the Trayvon Martin shooting and the subsequent arrest, jail and trial of George Zimmerman, you probably know the majority of what Florida AG Pam Bondi did. However, it was almost 12-years-ago now. So, for those who don’t remember here’s the story.

It would appear that President Trump’s campaign co-chair, and current selection for Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, was the link that pushed Pam Bondi to become the next Attorney General nominee.
You might note, Pam Bondi and Mr James Rubin are the “key personnel” on the foreign agent registration notification. In his current role working for Joe Biden, James Rubin heads the U.S. State Department’s Global Engagement Center.
So, Pam Bondi was working for Susie Wiles as a Ballad Partners lobbyist for Qatar, together with James Rubin who works for Joe Biden to combat Russian disinformation and support Ukraine as the head of the U.S. State Dept Global Engagement Center.
There is no UniParty, nah.

The woman who as Florida Attorney General, conspired to put a transparently innocent man in prison. A man she knew was innocent.

Pam Bondi, the enabler of Benjamin Crump.
Pam Bondi, the co-conspirator to corrupt Jacksonville District Attorney, Angela Corey …. Who was Bondi’s friggin’ CAMPAIGN MANAGER!

I can’t right now…. GO READ THE ARCHIVES HERE

I support President Trump. But this is ridiculous.

Pam Bondi to end political corruption? A joke!

Bondi is a bad pick and it seems that Susie Wiles recommended Bondi. Both have ties going back and ties with the uniparty. I bet that Wiles is the WH leaker as well. Disappointing that Trump is trusting people that he should not trust.

There is no UniParty, nah. Nothing to see here folks, move along…. move along. Say hello to our next U.S. Attorney General.

Donald Trump's second choice for Attorney General is likely to find a warmer reception in the Senate than Matt Gaetz did, but she could face some hostility from Second Amendment organizations over some of her previous positions on guns and gun control.

Pam Bondi served as Florida's attorney general for eight years, and was in office when the legislature crafted its response to the 2018 shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

"In a time of crisis, it's about finding common ground, and that's what Gov. Scott has done," Bondi told Fox Business host Stuart Varney in March of that year, as the Florida legislature was in the midst of passing legislation that, among other things, raised the age to purchase a firearm from 18 to 21 and established a "red flag" law in the state.

During that same interview, Bondi praised Trump's response to the Parkland shootings and expressed her hope that he could be a "mediator" with federal lawmakers.

"Hopefully Congress will follow Florida's lead and what Gov. Scott has been doing here in Florida and all of us working so well together," she told Varney as the interview concluded.

Even before Bondi tacitly embraced "red flag" laws and prohibiting young adults from purchasing firearms at retail, some 2A activists in Florida weren't big fans of Bondi's tenure as AG. Florida Carry's general counsel Eric Friday expressed relief when current AG Ashley Moody took over the position in 2019.

Worst 2a administration since possibly Reagan or Clinton
DeSantis was a much better choice, but all the fucktards had to had Trump back. This is going to be an epic shitshow that will give the house, senate and white house to the dems for the forseeable future after Trumps next 4 years of gridlock. His nominations are fucking terrible. He is an asshat.

DeSantis signed the Red Flag law. You will be hard pressed to find a politician that is a 2A purist.

Below from this article. https://www.fox13news.com/news/desantis-hopes-red-flag-laws-will-help-thwart-future-shootings

Most recently, investigators discovered the gunman in Dayton, Ohio made violent threats on Twitter. So did the man who killed six people in the 2011 shooting that severely injured then-Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

In Florida, the teen behind the Parkland school shooting made disturbing posts on social media, which included gruesome Instagram photos of animals he claimed to have killed.

"Being able to go and trade these ideas in an online community, I think that radicalizes people," DeSantis said.

But the solution, DeSantis says, isn't to have the government policing speech.

"Typically, the government isn't policing or holding people accountable just for speech," he said. "It requires incitement, or to be a threat."

If there is a threat, there are options. Florida's so-called red flag laws allow law enforcement to take away a person's guns temporarily if they determine a person is an immediate threat.

Many, including the governor, are behind it.

Hi perpetrators.

I had thought I heard DeSantis say that he would work to eliminate them.... but I've heard/seen nothing to that effect yet, and I doubt we will.
He spoke saying he would not endorse them federally, violates the 2a, but the above are direct quotes, seeming to supporting their use in Florida at the state level.

edit. We might find out soon. https://gunrights.org/ron-desantis-declares-his-opposition-to-red-flag-gun-confiscation-laws/

People change Og article was from 2019, this one is from 2024. Soo???

We shall, indeed, see. The more we 2A folks get "vocal" and "in their face," the more attentive to us they'll be, hopefully. If they see that there are enough of us that could "primary" a candidate of two...maybe they'll sit up and take notice.

I personally would have preferred DeSantis over Trump. Maybe he gets a run in 2028??

I will support Trump and after everything "they" have thrown at him, he's still there and won. Gotta give it to him for that, pretty fucking incredible.

But the other sides unwillingness to work with him is going to be an issue.
