Drone detection

Do drones put off ir with their avoidance systems etc ? Able to be seen with night vision or a phone ?

Would one of those ultra powerful green lasers disable a drone ?
Detection is possible depending on your NVG devices spectral & spatial range and resolution.

Disable drone or optical sensor?

Vis lasers are a problem. They precisely pinpoint your location and hitting a moving drone while being able to put the laser specifically onto the camera lens for long enough to blind is dubious at best.

Better to perform signals detection and hack the drone by either flooding or hijacking/overpowering the signal (GOV drones will be difficult). Better still, use a cheap FPV drone to down the intruder with direct impact or equip with a drop net that can disable props if you don’t want to sacrifice your drones.

Probably your best option for disabling. But there is a caveat with that option since downing drones is frowned upon; if it happens once, it's a happenstance, twice is a coincidence, third time is enemy action. Unless of course, you want to try your hand at flipping pigeons, then it's an act of nature. Fair warning, Compton L.A. might be the only place to learn this particular skillset, and yes that is a legit thing there and not just made for the movie. I'd link the directors cut mini documentary about that scene, but couldn't find it online.

If you crash it on your land, the telemetry data will point its finger at you. Better have a good answer as to why multiples get downed in your AO.

Growing up I built a coop with 1 way re-entry doors and maintained a couple dozen or so 'tumblers' for many years......odd birds.
Supposedly a genetic defect to where they roll or flip over during flight. I've always thought it was just their nature, until I did some research after seeing that mini documentary. Makes there flight a little unpredictable at times, but in light of this thread, that's exactly want someone would want. Send a whole flock up in the drone's flight path and one of them is bound to collide with it.

i know nothing on the subject,so asking. EMPs will disable digital control suites and drones themselves, correct? could a anti drone EMP weapon be
developed as a counter measure? would generating the pulse put the users stuff out of commission? could a pulse be narrowed down and targeted like sci ray guns? am sure defense against drones is being researched everywhere.
