I have between 0-5 glasses of bourbon per week, but by OP's definition I "drink". It was about the same during my 19 years in the Army... the 5 years in the Navy was a different story though
I ask myself "if I were a predator where would I be right now" etc etc etc. where is the wind blowing for scent blah blah blah. Coyo's hunt small deer. They are skittish little grey ghosts. I like deer. I have fed a wild doe before not out my hand or anything and I really like deer idk reminds me of Christmas. Brother my BEST shot was 800M. my usual shot is much closer. I usually don't take the shot I wait wait wait and usually once I've driven myself insane I get a good opportunity at a closer distance. Most my shots 80% occur once I feel like I'm done and been sitting here for ages ready to head in for the day/night.

Dude, I literally grew up in the mountains of Idaho and I can tell you that no way you are sneaking up on a coyote. I’ve stalked to within a few yards of deer. Literally watched a bucks eyes bug out when he finally saw me. I’ve killed as many coyotes as deer and not a single coyote was closer than 100 yards. Keep talking and showing us all how little you know.

Im not talking about only shooting coyotes. You honestly have probably bagged 10 times more coyotes than I. Almost All my coyotes been long range fucking out there out there. What I meant by waiting for a better shot was other small game. I've spared more coyotes than shot. Just because you have the power doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. I practice short distance with other game, possums, etc etc. I really should have clarified. My fault. Long distance has always been pretty much coyotes. Coyotes are really a rarity sighting for me honestly but I know where they dwell, what time, locale, weather, etc etc etc. I just feel like of all game, I understand coyotes best but It don't mean I'm necessarily any good at "sneaking up" on those fuckers. Or that I've seen more than other people, it's just that when I pick a location I can confirm the presence of coyotes due to the howls, tracks, etc. so I know I picked a correct location. Ive heard infinitely more howls than I've seen em. Sorry man yeah don't just quote something I said cause there is more to the whole picture. I ain't got time to explain everything ya know?

If you look at his pic you'll notice the electrical receptacle is installed incorrectly. Code states no preference except for a plug like a dryer where the ground is at the bottom. Otherwise the ground should be at the top. This is because if you have something plugged in and the plug is not inserted fully or becomes loose, a metal picture frame can come loose and fall or a piece of silverware or other item can get pushed off a table and make contact. If it hits the ground prong it is not only more likely to fall off ,but if it doesn't there is no danger of an electrical fire.

Fuck, now that I think about it I don't think I ever have been closer than 200 meters to a coyo. When I said my average shot was 200-300m I was averaging my close range game with the long distance coyote shots. I just am able to change location on a moments notice and I know where the Coyo's will be with decent accuracy. Again,confirmed by howls, tracks, etc. When I was a kid I was able to figure out the seasonal patterns of the local population just because there were so many of them. Was able to adjust accordingly and at least that population had a relatively consistent pattern. Because they were enclosed by humanity I believe.
I am 100% not a hunter. Any green hunter could shit on me I consider myself more of an observational nature biologist dude that happens to be armed. If I told you how many coyotes I have seen/ killed it's actually quite low. Yeah like u said u hunt deer and probably run across a coyo and shoot it and you got a high coyote count. Me on the other hand I just sit there and listen okay where these howls coming from? West? What's the wind? SW strong? Okay. Noted. Where am I in relation? Okay then here is where I am, now I gotta Estimate the distance from other human activities. Okay so I noticed that I seen a coyote coming from the east, where he going? What's he doing? Is he feeding? When was breeding season? How far away is that little demon? Did he spot me? Okay he just ran back into the distant treeline haven't seen him in 2 hours should I move? Should I go east? West? No. Okay let me come back tomorrow to the same spot and see if he comes back at the same time. Nope? Okay where the howling? Oh shit its way far away and to the South? Why? Okay next year let me make an adjustment What's the weather when the coyote came out from the east? What time in the day? What was I doing/thinking while I saw the coyote? Was i even trying to spot one? Are these coyotes the same animal? Is it a male or female. What distinctive marks can I use to maybe identify the same animal. Does it have consistent feeding patterns? Okay when. Are the animals healthy? Or skinny? Maybe What do the skinny ones do that the others don't? Was there a shortage of food because of a particularly harsh winter? What is the deer population like? Let me see how many deer tags were issued this season in relation to the next year coyo population/sightings. How many coyotes did I spot this year compared to last? 0? Why? Anything I can deduce?

Like I said, code doesn't specify. But a dryer or washer plug will have the ground prong on the bottom so you don't want to twist the plug when inserting it in the receptacle. You want your plug t to push in flush so it doesn't have a tendency to work it's way loose as it can if your wire is above the receptacle.
That'll teach you to make sure that door is all the way up. You have a lot of accidents.

This reminds of a flight I was on once.
I'm in first class, so boarded first and already have some alcohol served when the rest of the plane started boarding.
Apparently there had been some Special Olympics event just happen because about 75% of the rest of the plane were these kids wearing medals and smiles and yacking about how things had gone down and they were going to get sit by a window and..oh man.
So, other than these athletes being VERY loud and joyous, the flight is pretty uneventful until we are about to land in Denver. We keep circling and circling and circling and I'm thinking holy crap there's a bunch of planes arriving at the same time and how shitty those logistics were. Then I start thinking that I'm going to miss my connection.
About then the Captain comes on and tells us that the nose gear won't go down and they are going to continue circling the airport and burn some fuel and try to get the nose gear to come down.
We are in the air about another hour. Alcohol is free for everyone. The Captain comes back on and says that it's time to attempt a landing with the nose gear up. He tells us that he has practiced this on a simulator thousands of times and that everything will be ok. He tells us that all of the runways have been cleared and that this airport has some of the longest runways available in the US for civilian aircraft and he is very confident.
There is complete silence on the airplane.
He goes on to tell us that EMS is ready and that there will be a full compliment of first responders ready for us. There will be ambulances with paramedics and nurses and that they have been preparing for us. There will be several of the FFF foam trucks waiting, those are firetrucks.
From behind me somewhere, I hear this excited voice, "A FIWA TWUCK!"
@david.stad14 Good luck even making it out of Boot Camp. You are not likely to see any fire trucks.

Oh...and for all of you non-sneaky fuckers, I just shot a coyote at what my Halo XRF said was 50 yards. I might go look for him in the morning but not likely. Maybe it can serve as bait.
I was wearing my tighty whitey's, too, not to get you too excited @akmike47, but there I was, half naked, bare footed (like every good stalker should be) and stalked right up on a pack of 5. I got the first one but missed the next 5 shots at the rest running.
I had to try to be vewy, vewy sneaky when I opened the back door and stepped out on the back porch. They were singing...I think it might be mating season, @diggler1833 would know more. I stepped out and rested my rifle on the tripod I have set-up semi permanently and looked through the Halo XRF and, sure enough, there they were, just a few yards beyond the solar array.
A less sneaky fucker would never had been able to stalk so close.
If I am in the right position, I'd kill the last living coyote on earth. Same, same for the woofs.

Hey, that reminds me. Guess I lied about the closes coyote I ever shot. When I was still a kid in my parents house I heard the coyote yipping one night. It was a full moon and a couple feet of snow on the ground. Middle of the night and they wouldn’t shut up so I looked out the window and could see several of them right on the edge of the yard. I grabbed my 30-30 and opened the window and blasted one of them about 30 yards away from the house.

Coyotes I have seen for about 55 years do not hang out anywhere long. You MIGHT have a full 45 seconds to get the shot off...if it's cold as fuck and the wind is blowing.

.I don't do barefooted though...I'm not manly enough. Wayyyy too many cow flops out here to try that. I did shoot a skunk out in the pasture recently in flip flops and boxers though. As soon as I hit it I realized that I was downwind and started to try to make my escape. 15 steps later I kicked up a sandbur and then stepped on it, firmly lodging it in the crevice between two toes. I then proceeded to play 'cow patty hopscotch' until I was far enough away to tend to my wounds without having to come home smelling like a skunk.
