Accuracy & Stability Upgrades
The SRS A2 Chassis will feature Desert Tech’s new A2 trigger designed to make the trigger system less complex while providing a trigger pull that has less creep, a shorter reset, and a crisper break. The A2 trigger can be adjusted from 1.5 to 7 lbs. and has a flat contour for improved ergonomics. Desert Tech also upgraded the barrel clamping system in the A2 chassis, the new system reduces stress placed on the barrel when installed. During testing by Desert Tech it was found that the new system’s average accuracy was 36% better than the A1 system. The A2 chassis also now features an integral tripod attachment point and a Harris bipod mount for increased stability.Weight Reduction & Functionality Upgrades
One of Desert Tech’s goals when developing the SRS A2 Chassis was to reduce the overall weight of the rifle, making it a more maneuverable and effective combat weapon. Desert Tech was able to cut a good deal of weight from the chassis by fluting the receiver and removing the monopod. The new system substitutes the Picatinny rail handguard for more a lightweight m-lock handguard. The receiver in the A2 chassis features additional clearance allowing for smoother bolt manipulation.Features of the Desert Tech SRS A2 Chassis
