Bad ass M40 package including correct Redfield scope being raffled off.

Details on the rifle package and memorial posted in the Vintage Sniper Rifle sub forum linked here:

Tickets sales end on Wednesday and the drawing is on Thursday, so this is one of the last few days to purchase tickets for this epic M40/1911 raffle!!!

https://scoutsniperheritage.org/scout-sniper-war-memorial-fundraiser/

The rifle was finally built this past weekend by USMC 2112 armorer SSgt Jake Meyers! It took a while, the hurricane definitely messed stuff up for us, but we have everything built into the best M40 clone ever made! SSgt Meyers did an unbelievable job turning a pile of original circa 1966 USMC used/surplus M40 take-off parts and a circa 1966 civilian Remington M700 receiver into one of the most amazing M40 clones in existence! SSgt Meyers is one of the best USMC 2112 armorer out there, and he's the only 2112 who knows every tiny detail about every single M40xx variation from 1966 to the current issue rifles (and he's able to build all of these M40xx rifles 100% to their original specs)!

This M40 clone build is an unbelievably amazing rifle that was build by an amazing Marine 2112 armorer with original USMC M40 parts, so it doesn't get any better than this for collectors! There's about $15k in parts to build the rifle, and the completed rifle is probably worth around $20k with this provenance. Don't miss out on this one, we're never going to raffle off another circa 1966 M40 clone like this ever again!

We even used the original Remington "US" rollmark from 1966 to mark this receiver! Jake made a rig to mark Remington 700 receivers in the correct location! This is a first for an M40 clone and it makes the rifle that much better!!!

And we also decided to add a CMP military surplus 1911 pistol as a 2nd place prize!!! I also donated this pistol,
and I think it's a great 2nd place prize that matches the 1966 M40 clone pretty well! Here's photos of the actual 2nd place prize pistol in this raffle:

Awesome
How do I purchase tickets?
I can add to cart but don’t have a check out button.
It's squirrely for sure and not as intuitive as what most are used to.

You click the credit card logo/icon thingy and it should bring you to a payment screen. Successful payment will generate a receipt with your specific raffle numbers on it.

Any pictures from the test targets from it being shot?
I'll ask the builder about this and report back. He hasn't sent me any photos of test targets, so I'm thinking that there probably isn't documentation on this specific thing. Everyone needs to keep in mind that this is an original USMC M40 take-off barrel from 1966, and these original barrels were pretty heavily used. Some used M40 barrels shoot better than others, and I used one of the best barrels original USMC M40 barrels from my personal collection for this build. It will shoot, and it might shoot pretty well, but don't expect to win any benchrest competitions with it, lol.

This is certainly not the kind of rifle that people buy raffle tickets for based on how small the rifle can group!

I'm sure it will go Bang nicely but I'm absolutely not going to expect tiny groups with the original barrel and this original optic setup.

I would not expect it to win any competitions. Just curious how it shoots.

If I win it that bad boy will get shot quite a bit.

Well gentlemen, I just received an update from Tim (the MSSHF CEO), and he quickly checked the numbers to see how many people have purchased tickets. So far, only about 860 individuals have purchased tickets to this raffle! That's it, a very low number of people buying the MSSHF M40 raffle tickets compared to the 10's of thousands of people who entered into other online raffles and sweepstakes! If most people purchase the 8 ticket package for $75, then under 7k tickets have been sold. Compare this to the other online raffles that sell 10's of thousands of tickets and the online sweepstakes that give away hundreds of millions of draws! This means that each person who purchased tickets for this MSSHF M40 raffle has far better odds of winning this raffle, when compared to other online firearm raffles/sweepstakes!

This is probably one of the smallest online firearm raffle that anyone will take part in, and it has one of the best grand prizes ever offered (even beating out high value prizes that large companies put up for raffles/sweepstakes)! There's only about 10 hours left to purchase tickets, so get them while you still can! Someone is going to have an epic day tomorrow when they win this $20,000 USMC M40 sniper rifle!

It’s been added to the M40 Enthusiasts Facebook page so the sales might rise.
Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving to all

Site shows 108,xxx sold so far.
The 10 in the first part of the number doesn't have anything to do with how many tickets have been sold. We're now into the 8,xxx number of tickets sold, which is up from my earlier estimate (a friend just sent me over his ticket numbers and I saw where we were at). I wish we could sell 6 figures of tickets, that would really help get this war memorial built! But, we probably won't even top 10k in the end, which is far less than 108,xxx.

Just bought some tickets. Paid the first time and didn’t get a confirmation page, so I tried again. Check my email and boom 2 confirmations. Oh well it’s going to a good cause.

Sorry to hear that the system messed up, but that's awesome of you to still make the donation! Thank you very much!

Hey why not. Bought 2 more rounds. That should put me at like 0.06% chance?

That's excellent, ever little bit helps you get closer to the goal of winning the grand prize! Thank you very much!

The ticket sales are closed, and I want to thank everyone for supporting the MSSHF and donating to our Scout Sniper War Memorial project! This means the world to us, and when the memorial is finished the families and friends of fallen USMC Scout Snipers will finally have a place dedicated to honoring their loved ones! We're currently researching and trying to identify the names of every single USMC Scout Sniper who was killed in combat from WWI to the last days of GWOT/OIF/OEF, and having those names engraved on the memorial itself. We will never forget these brave men and we will honor the greatest sacrifice that anyone can give to our great nation.

The raffle tickets that all of you have purchased is making this dream a reality, and in a few years we will have a beautiful memorial to honor the Scout Snipers who have sacrificed everything. Your contributions to this memorial project have been substantial, and we could have never raised the money needed to build this memorial without your support and generosity! I hope that someday all of you have a chance to visit the Scout Sniper War Memorial in person, and see first-hand what came from your contributions and donations to the MSSHF. Also, 100% of the money raised from this rifle raffle will be going towards funding for this memorial project!

Thank you, gentlemen, thank you very much for your contributions and donations to the MSSHF's Scout Sniper War Memorial! The MSSHF and I are truly grateful to have such an amazing community here to support us!

If you can, please check out the MSSHF's Facebook page tomorrow at noon EST to watch Tim draw the winning grand prize M40 raffle ticket and the winning 2nd place Colt 1911 raffle ticket! This will be a live video, so you'll get to see the winning ticket numbers right away. I will also post the winning ticket numbers here in this forum thread for the people who aren't able to watch the live ticket drawing. Also, the MSSHF's Facebook page is open to the public, so you don't need a Facebook to watch tomorrow's live raffle drawing! Here's a link to the MSSHF's Facebook page, please check it around noon EST tomorrow for the live video post:
