RAW POWER

HD, super slo-mo, and different vantage points of the November 19th, 2024 SpaceX Starship 6 test flight attended by Elon Musk and President Donald J. Trump.

The size of a 34 story office building with the actual Starship pilotable module being a luxury coach bus sized payload at the top of the building. 5.2 million pounds of thrust from a single unit housing 33 Raptor engines. Fuel: RP8 triple filtered ultra low sulfur kerosene and liquid oxygen. The "clouds" you see coming off of the rocket through the entirety of fueling and launch is due to a combination of atmospheric condensation from the sides of the LOX tanks which are chilled to -100°F and specialized bleeder valves located at all sides of the tanks venting excess LOX to maintain optimum tank pressures in relation to the rapidly changing atmospheric pressure outside as the rocket gains altitude.

I'm pretty sure its not running JP8 filtered or otherwise. The Falcon nine is but the starship runs Methane chilled to liquid and liquid oxygen. There is a lot less soot that way and it is a fuel that can be sourced on mars.

Yo thanks for the correction, both stages do use methane. That has got to be the cleanest and most hi tech fuel combo and feed system devised. Remember in the summer a Chinese SpaceX wannabe firm tried to launch a Falcon Superheavy copy, but it used highly reactive and toxic hypergolic fuel and solid ignitors and it blew up almost landing in a nearby village. Those orange fumes right before the explosion was hydrazine, absolutely nasty and carcinogenic stuff...

You know it's nasty stuff when Uncle Sam pays you hazardous duty pay to work with it.
