Hello,
the neck of my brass with ball seated measure about .292" diameter.

Fired Lapua cartdridge measures about .294"

.002" of clearance are anoug for safe and no trouble use?

Thanks

That should be fine.

I made some 6,5x47 Lapua case from 6,5 Creedmoor only for test, and now I can try, but my dubt are for the crearance between the neck and the is area chamber...

I don't have stuff for tuning the neck so my choice for 6,5 Creedmoor instead of 308W...

Thanks

Don't forget that there is springback. That .294 is after the brass has sprung back a little. So your clearance is actually more than .002. . . and that amount is just fine.

The minimum chamber dimension is 0.2933 per CIP. The maximum cartridge is 0.2913 so the expected minimum is 0.002 which what you have. As noted you actually exceed that due to springback.

Yes, springback...
.0005" or more?

I load 3 ammo, and I thing to shoot a the end of the range day...
So if this stuck on the chamber I work with this a the home...

Thanks for the advice, hope no trouble a the range on majority for the comments from the other shooters that have on some arguments, like reforming from other calibers, opinions a little bit "taleban"...

He's saying once you have fired one of your formed cases, remove it from the chamber and take a bullet and see if you can slip it into the fired case's neck. If you can slide the bullet into the fired neck by hand you have enough clearance in your chamber.

This test with reformed Creedmoor cases in 6.5x47 lapua?

.002” may not be enough with some bullet powder combinations and you’ll run into pressure problems in the summer. But you need to be sure of your dimensions. How accurate are your measurements? What are you using to measure? Is your test brass new or once fired? Who cut your chamber? Can you call and get the reamer dimensions?

Hello, past sunday I made a trip to the shooting range, 99 rounds.

A the return at home I made the bullets test at the original 6,5x47 Lapua cases (I don't have had time for reloading the reformed cases from 6,5 Creedmoor), on 4 rounds, that have caused a gummy opening of the bolt I misurated .015" neck tickness.
The bullets don't drop on the fired neck...

Need to turn your necks.
Hello, for now I place the 4 cases on the desk drawer, and think what neck turning can buy.
21st Century are out of budget for my usage, so I think K&M or Sinclair but look also at RCBS, Forster and Hornady, some advices for help my selection?

Thanks, Camillo
