Tac Ops Rifles

How often do you train for the job…is it mandatory?

Or do you take outside classes etc?
LASD SEB Train none-stop and with over 240 SWAT CALL OUTS per year and I've seen up to 310 years ago they are non-stop in the mix. I believe they are the busiest Special Weapons Team in the world for LEO. They are on the Top of Their Game 24/7 365

As true professionals we realize we do not know everything and seek knowledge from as many sources we can get. Our guys attend sniper courses with Gunsite, Modern Day Sniper, Advanced Combat Evolutions, Bruiser Industries and Ridgeline Defense. We were in Max Ordinate's first LE Class in 2012-2013ish, Tyler had a huge impact on our program. We take that knowledge and filter it through what our collective experiences are in domestic law enforcement and consistently move our program forward. The strength our our unit is that we are not insular in our thinking and do not believe we have a lock on everything "tactical." The moment you say "we always do it this way" is the time for you to find the door out because all you will do is hold the boys back.

Terry and I are definitely doing something again soon. Tom wants to as well but he's difficult to get on comms, we shall see cause I'm fucking ready my Ninja 🥷

Here's my Tac Ops Green Hornet .22LR with a very rare Vortex AMG 1-10x24 scope! I just mounted this Vortex AMG scope today, before this scope I had a CAG used/surplus Vortex Razor Gen 2 1-6x24 mounted. This new scope is absolutely amazing and it's the perfect scope for this rifle! It's also a ridiculous rig for a tiny .22LR, but it's also unbelievably awesome! The rifle is extremely accurate and extremely quiet, and it looks great too (photos don't do this rifle or any other Tac Ops rifles justice)! Thanks again @MikeRTacOps, I love this rifle and this new scope is perfect for it! One of these days I'll take photos when I'm at the range and show you guys the groups with various .22LR ammo.

@MikeRTacOps, I have a few .10 caliber barrels, can you make a Green Hornet that's chambered in .10 Eichelberger Long Rifle? That would be pretty epic, lol!

My favorite short-range and mid-range bolt action rifles (at least until I get a Tac Ops in .308!):

Sorry for the shitty photos, the Green Hornet looks so much better in person! I'll try to post more photos tomorrow during the day, so I can have natural lighting instead of light bulbs in the house.

You need more cant in the mounts lmao 🤣
Yeah, the Leupold M77 scope rings are ridiculous! It's a tall rear ring with a short front ring. The muzzle of the barrel is right below the center of the reticle, so the scope is literally pointed at the barrel, lol! I already ordered another set of Leupold M77 rings (there's only 1 set of M77 34mm rings made by Leupold), so I'll take the short height ring from that set of rings and swap it with the tall rear ring on this set of rings. It sucks having to purchase 2 sets of rings just to get 2 of the shorter rings, but the options for Ruger M77 34mm scope rings are almost nonexistent and I don't want to use vertical split rings. It is what it is. The rifle and scope are both excellent, it's the rings that are an issue.

I just purchased another set of the Leupold M77 scope rings, and I used the short ring from each of the two sets to mount the Vortex AMG 1-10x24 scope to the Green Hornet rifle. The wear on the bolt handle was from my previous scope (it barely touched the bolt handle at it's highest position), but this new scope completely clears the bolt handle, so no more worries about that! I have a bunch of Harris bipods, but I'm going to look for something else to use with this rifle, any suggestions ate appreciated. I'm extremely happy with this rifle/scope set-up, and the next time I hit the range I'll post some photos of the targets. Thanks again, @MikeRTacOps!

Pretty much.
I don't know if anything has changed, but it shoots one hole with 147s, even though it's made for 140s.
I'm assuming the throat has moved enough to accommodate them.

Do Tac ops barrels last longer? Or is it more of it’s starts out shooting one hole, once it opens up, it’s opening up at the same rate but the starting points are different?

If that makes sense

I would love a tacops 6.5 but would be terrified to have to send it off to have it rebarreled. I understand the amount of money in ammo that would be burned to do so. But it’s also not an average costing rifle.

I don’t know yet because I haven’t shot it out. Once it can’t get below .4 moa I’ll probably have it re-barreled.

Wouldnt you send it back to @MikeRTacOps? Why would you be terrified about that? It might come back shooting smaller than it did new.
