Applied Ballistics® announces their new mobile platform, Applied Ballistics® Quantum™, a state-of-the-art app integrating the most complete ballistics solver and profile management tool for long-range shooting. Featuring an all new user-interface, AB Quantum™ includes a host of new tools and features that will enable shooters and hunters to be more successful in the field.

If you already have the AB Mobile App, you will be updated/rolled into this new app automatically!

This Rollout Will Take Up To 7 Days. Only 10% Of Users Will Get The Update by Midnight Tonight. Not Everyone Will See the Free or Update Version Right Away. I cannot Make Google & Apple Work Any Faster. I Do Apologize.

The new AB Quantum™ Ultralite version is FREE with In-App Purchases for Elite or Grandfathered in. Pairing to compatible AB Elite devices will unlock the Elite version for free as well. Those without an AB Ecosystem device can still upgrade the program if they require more features.

The all new user-interface is designed with single-handed use in mind, putting all major features just a swipe or tap away from any screen, which allows users to rapidly obtain solutions in the field or at a match. The simplicity and versatility of the app interface creates an intuitive experience for both new and experienced users.

  • Two new prominent features - AB Quantum Connect™ and AB Quantum Sync™ - enable users to quickly connect to other compatible AB-enabled devices and sync gun profiles between them in seconds, as well as back those profiles up to an encrypted server for peace of mind and easy restoration. The new platform automatically saves changes made to rifle profiles and updates connected devices without the user needing to do anything.
  • For competitors or hunters, AB Quantum™ includes customizable Range and Multi-Target tables. This allows users to lay out the displayed information to exactly what they need to hit their target. After creating a range or target card, it can easily be shared via email. Target cards can be edited and built using AB Quantum Compatible Range finders.
  • New Bluetooth® Device Manager - Find and connect AB Bluetooth® devices quickly and send data between devices using AB Quantum Connect™.
  • AB Quantum Sync™ - User gun profiles are automatically uploaded to an encrypted server to allow easy access for other devices and backup, providing peace of mind and security.
  • New Reticle Library - The AB Reticle library is hosted online and updates in AB Quantum™ automatically, providing users with up-to-date solution drawing for their favorite rifle scopes.
  • Remote View Feature – This allows compatible AB Ecosystem devices to display through the AB Quantum App as a Remote View or HUD.
  • Improved Truing Interface - Easy to access ballistic truing features without leaving solution screens.
  • Chronograph Integration - Connect Bluetooth®-enabled chronographs - such as the Optex Systems SpeedTracker™ - directly to the app and save the velocity data to rifle profiles.
Built with the future in mind, the new AB Quantum™ platform allows for continuous innovation, and we have more features coming in the following year!

Cool, was available for my Android.

Crashed the first time I tried to login with Google. Uninstalled and reinstalled and seems to be working.

Nice interface. Took me a minute playing around to figure out how to get the range card and other displays to come up with the center button.

Profiles seem to have synced back from the cloud okay.

Cool. Mine updated. FYI- App doesn't seem to support Dynamic Type properly on my iPhone. It's fine on my iPad. I use a font size larger than the iOS default on both devices. On the iPhone, the interface extends beyond both edges of the device making it difficult to read.

I tried changing the phone font size to default and that made no difference. iOS 18.1.1. Here is a screenshot of how it displays:

Interface is great, navigation is intuitive.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out how to manually enter different wind directions for each target on the target card. Does this require pairing a Kestrel or LRF?

User Guide PDF

I figured that’s the way it supposed to work. However, doing that with a single target selected updates all windage values for all targets in the target table. Changing the azimuth on individual targets also does nothing. Coriolis was on, but I’ve turned it off again.

I killed the app/restarted and tested with old/new profiles. Both problems remain. I'll assume I'm the problem, since it's working for you.

This can only be done on iOS right now. Looking into it, and I have a ticket in.

Vortex isn't going to be implemented at this time.

Try deleting the app, restarting the phone, and reinstalling. If that doesn't work, see if you can submit a bug report through the app. If that doesn't work then please send a ticket through our website with as much information as possible about the device, region, when, why, how, and make sure to submit those crash reports through Android. We do see them.

On iOS 18.1.1, was able to update from the app store. Seems to be working fine. Paired to my Garmin tactix. Like it a lot more than the previous! I appreciate having the zco reticles!!

Great improvement over the previous app. I’m not seeing anything for either density altitude or elevation though?

Only bug I’ve found is when doing a R-L wind it will only show up as R on wind 1 or 2 once the value is 1 mil or greater.

18.1.1 is definitely a lot slower. The 2 issues I pointed out carried over from 17.6.1.
I'm getting this as well, but it's just on the HUD, not the target card

Please send this through the support ticket function in the app, so I can get more data about your device and we can get a fix out today.

Please send this in a support ticket through the app so I can get more data about the device as well. We are looking into this.

We have an update coming out in the next hour that should help a lot of people.

Send us the specific wind bug through the support ticket system in the app so we can take a closer look at it. We are working on updates right now to get these fast fixed.

eager to see this connecting to my kestrel 5700E. even if just for the ability to save profiles in the cloud it goes above and beyond kestrel apps that I think share the same software developer with labrardar.
get the xero as integrated chrono and you will be golden

I read the manual to figure out where the support function is located. Turns out I can't get to it due to the screen size issue I mentioned in post 10 above. I added a screen shot in post 10 to show the problem.

I'm on latest Android, the save feature in profiles does not save a lot of settings?
I select scope, then reticles then save they dont appear in "shoot"
As before will not also save scope units.
Also I have no Range Card?

Why?

I'm not trying to be a pill. I am still new to all of this....

This would be a disadvantage for me. I am almost done with my first custom build that includes a Razor Gen 3.

Copy!

I haven't used CDMs in the past, can you "Tweak" them like you can in Hornady 4DOF with the Axial Form Factor?

Two quick questions-

1) For those of us who do not upload our profiles to the cloud, will there be an option to “fetch profiles” from our compatible paired devices, rather than just manually recreate them all?

2) On SIG Kilos, the send profiles overwrites all profiles on device (as warned) but on the Garmin systems they seem to append the new ones without overwriting the current ones. In the future, will there be a method by which we can choose what action the sync does to the paired device?

Keep up the great work. Amazing app so far.

You can do a calibration on them yes.

1) For some compatible devices yes. Not all devices were built with this capability. Some range finders, Even that Tactix 7 and Foretrex 901 can't. But next generation devices are being built this way.

2) Maybe. We are looking into this. But since these companies implement systems in house, this may or may not be possible. Maybe for ones that can do it. Not sure yet. Its complex because Garmin, Sig, Kestrel etc all handle firmware, devleopment etc in house.

We would even like to control settings on devices, and we can in our development version of the app, but we just aren't sure yet on the release etc.
