IBA is telling me serial on one side and XM3 on the other. I thought it was not marked either on the military version either. I want it military version

For the issued USMC rifles, there are no US markings on the receiver, and there are no markings of any kind on the scope base. However, there were "XM-3" and serial number markings on the scope base on some of the police/civilian rifles. Chandler also had these type of markings on the other rifles he used to make, so IBA is used to putting the serial number and rifle model markings on their regular police/civilian rifles. Here are some photos of my original USMC issued XM3 that was built by IBA, notice how there are no markings at all on the scope base. If IBA is building your rifle and they insist on marking the scope base, tell them to stop and not do that. They built these original USMC rifles one way and all their other police/civilian rifles another way.

If they're trying to put the wrong markings on the XM3 clones, it's probably because they are going by what they've done for 99% of the rifles they built and they don't remember these exact details for the USMC issued XM3 sniper rifles. Sent these pics to IBA if you need too, they can look up the serial number in their records and see that it's an original USMC XM3 built by them.
