Looking at Tripod Heads

I know it is not RRS, Two Vets, or other shooting specialty gear manufacture but have you looked at the Sunwayfoto IB-65?

So far the only thing I've noticed is that the rifle needs to be fairly balanced or it will go muzzle up or buttstock up on its own. I plan on taking it apart and cleaning the ball and clamp material to see if it will increase the grip.

I swapped from a GNN FB 52 ball head to the anvil 30 last year. Also upgraded to a PVA comp 40 tripod.

I will never regret this decision to upgrade. That anvil 30 is the cats ass compared to the ball head.

I’ll never go back to anything else

I use mine mainly for crop damage on deer permits. Use it a ton. Absolutely love it

Dont' get this !!!

They break, the Sunwayfoto has real issues, you'll end up buying twice

I had the Anvil knock off its broke before I even used it

To late as I've already got it. Haven't shot off it yet, just messed around mounting various spotting scopes and guns. Picked up a clamp with arca attachment for guns without arca or picatinny rails. When I clamped my KM OPS 51 is when I learned I needed to tighten up the ball clamp.

So I cleaned off the ball and the nylon or delrin contact rings that act as clamping surfaces for the ball and got some better results. Rifle weighted approximately 16.5 lbs without the suppressor.

As seen above, with the suppressor I can lock it angled up or down with no difference. However, if I remove the suppressor, no go it goes muzzle up do to the buttstock heavy configuration.

I also noticed that if rotated left or right there were spots that had less grip. This could be do to a set the compression rings took while being stored in the lock position before being sold. I store it with the lock lever loose to keep this from happening. Another reason could be minor shape differences in the ball itself. Time will tell.

Anvil-30, is a great product. Really upped my game on smoother firmer X-hair placement to the target.

Anyone tell me what RRS using for the Ball Lube ?
It came box new, with what looked like a 'black color' dry paste lube on Ball surface . Is that Moly, or Anti-Seize product ?
I getting Noisy Ball Chatter/ Creaking. and Loud, when lever-friction applied to slow movement, would really like to get it back to ' Quiet '.
