They have new photos of the suspect:
Evidence found at the scene of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson assassination point to a possible message left behind by the killer.

The more I look at these pictures, especially the upper one, the more I think it looks either AI generated or fake... Maybe just the camera. Maybe the 'enhancement' they could have done in the lab. But something looks unreal about it.
48 hours and nothing... except incorrect gun identifications, suspects with mis-matched clothing... multiiple motives.
I generally don't go all 'conspiracy' theory because if two people know a secret and one of them is not dead... it's not going to stay a secret. So conspiracies are really hard to pull off. But confederacy of dunces exist. And cover-ups to prevent unpleasant truths are the way of the present as all kinds of folks simply use newspeak and gaslighting to deny the truth, fake the 'science' they so want you to believe they are supporting... and whitewash reality with political dogma. Aided by a media (and, admittedly social media) that throws out anything to see what sticks for profit, entertainment or to hear ourselves (me included) talk.. fuzzifies the mudification further.
That said, the longer this is another major, in-your-face unsolved case that remains unsolved, the more 'wild' the speculation will be. But nature abhors a vacuum and if those charged with finding the truth either won't or can't do their jobs... then the vacuum will be filled with rampant speculation and wild conspiracy theories.
Back to my original thought... In this current Wild West world of really garbage and totally accessible tools to create deep fakes and misleading images, videos and even voices... are we wrong to now be really skeptical of whatever we see or hear? I think the Bear Pit did an amazing job of breaking down images... pockets, back pack straps, tiny details. Crowd Sourcing to HUMAN brains is clearly way better than any of the 'AI' analysis that is going on out there. And can we expect a small group rushing around in a police lab or PR department to have the insight, experience and skills of thousands of folks who learned, live and breathe this stuff? Not hardly.
So keep up the good work. It's one of the reasons that so many of us joke (well, do we?) that we get our news from The Bear Pit. Because the combined analytical power of this place beats damn near anything that they can do with database software, storage facilities and "human-like" interactive chatbots. AI is not. It's just a trendy term for database software. Real intelligence is what we have here (punctuated by dark humor, sarcasm, temper tantrums, trolling and, I might add, earned trust of those members of our community who have BTDT. And that beats all the garbage that we get fed from MSM and a ton of other outlets that we know are 100 percent biased one way or another and are treating news as entertainment, psy-op and profit center.
Pardon my rant... Bit fueled up on wicked good coffee and Pop Tarts (natures most perfect food.)
Cheers,
Sirhr
PS. I still think that top photo looks AI. Fight me! ;-)
