Long time member, 1st post

Hello, longtime member and lurker. First time posting out of Nebraska.

More interested in the Night Varmint hunting, reloading, Gas Guns platforms. But still dabble in the Bergara LR and heavy magnums from time to time.
Welcome! What part of NE are you from? I’m part of a 1000yd range by Lexington and have a couple other spots around the state that we can stretch out farther and that are more “field” shooting.

We host monthly matches in Lex and have dudes that come out from all over the state, that includes gamers and varmint dudes. It’s a really solid group of dudes. You can check us out at 1kplus.com , we do have a Fbook group also, hit me up if you have any interest,

First off, welcome to the forum. If you are looking for a variety of opinions and personalities, you are in the right place.

So, what are you using for varmints? I have seen helicopter hog hunts with 5.56. I have heard of hunting hogs with AR-10.

But lately, I have been watching Texas Predator Hunting podcast on YT. This guy, Wade, in Midland, Texas, has been real keen on using the 6 mm ARC fo coyotes and hogs and even bobcats.

Kyle at the Social Regressive has a series of vids where he kitted up a 6 ARC he got from CMMG.

Or do you have something different.

Olympic 22-250 AR15 with a SD carbon fiber 1:12 twist barrel and 60 TMK is my favorite.

Been running 6ARC for the last few months just due to having more small rifle primers vs large rifle (22-250). Currently shooting 70gr Nosler BTs but working on a load for 90gr TGK.

Bolt rifle 6mm Creedmoor w/ 90 TGK (Bergara build).

Bobcats up to 4 down this year, coyotes over 25 on this season. Not terrible for someone working M-F and hunting on Saturday/Sunday.

@06X6spdGTO your USID conjures up memories of a much younger man that weighed in at 165 pounds, 6'4" and could dunk a BB any time. And my GTO was a '73.
I guess you could call 2018 a long time but, when you do, my 2003 Join date must make me ancient! LOL
Welcome to the fray!
I'm Alabama born, raised and never resided anywhere else but been to NE many times. Shot the Zombie match in GI a few times and got to hang out with some fellow industry types by the name of Hornady. Kearney has often been a return trip stop over when I've been out in WY working the prairie dog towns over. The AR15 has become a favorite for them over the years. I shoot an SBR suppressed in 223.
Seeing a bobcat around here is kinda rare but I've shot many a coyote and even a couple in my suburban back yard.
