I guess I should add I run all Lapua brass which is annealed at the factory. I anneal after that but not virgin brass. So mostly just curious

Cascade, tumble it for a bit and see if that annealing oxidation residue looks nearly as alarming. Its why I brush my case necks. Cases look fine to me.

I was going to ask if it was starline based on the color. I have a box of 1x fired annealed starline that looks just about the same.Won’t hurt!
But my starline in 6.5 does the same colorful tinging, more than any other I’ve annealed thus far.

Color will also change if you use a cleaning solution and don't get it all off. You should see some of the kaleidoscopes I get on my Lapua![]()
