Cloud Defense EPL

I would’ve preferred a touch shorter, but I’m pleasantly surprised by the thin profile. I was hoping for TLR-1 length, X300 width, and Turbo output. AIWB with the currently available duty lights sucks ass. I’ve got a TLR-7HLX on the way to try now.

This is so late to market, who cares?
It is a long time coming. Small company. I think one of the founders/key person was also laid up for a while.
I also think sourcing and development of components has been an issue.
I did a low light course sponsored by CD and met a few of the employees, good dudes. They are a small fish in a big pond, but looking to make a big splash.
I've been pretty impressed with thier other products performance and features. I'd like to see this one knock it out of the park.

I have been using a tlr 7hlx for several weeks now and i have been really impressed with the output. The only downside in my opinion is the 30 min runtime with their rechargeable battery. But the size and weight is way smaller than a x300 ultra with very comparable output. The throw seems better with the tlr 7hlx than the regular x300 ultra(not the turbo). It stays on my CC g19. Like I said, the only downside i have been able to come up either so far is the 30 minute runtime on their rechargeable battery but fixed that with buying a couple more to have on hand from amazon and at the end of the day its a CC gun so i don’t really need 1 hour + of runtime.

I reached out to Cloud via IG and the owner is always surprisingly quick to reply. I have another light of theirs and it is incredible. Had a small issue with the batteries and they promptly resolved it.
With the EPL the tail cap looked to be 3d printed plastic so I sent a message to inquire. He said it was a 3d printed prototype so they could show them in the video however they will be metal for the final consumer product.

I wasn't aware that the lighting solution for pistols had been solved?

To date, there is no perfect solution. Another attempt at creating a more ergonomic switching solution is always welcome in my eyes.

Cloud makes good stuff. I'm looking forward to this release.
