Looking at possibly dropping the coin on the TBAS for my new machine. Was curious what’s the max rpm people have been able to get it up to without vibration issues. The machine I have is a Ganesh 1640 GT which weighs about 3600 lbs.

Pg. 9 says 1400 recommended, 2000 max Actual speeds people are taking them to, I have no clue. But, here's a discussion on accurate shooter that might be of help.
Lathe weight/mass tolerates higher RPMs when dialed in=out of balance workpiece.
Yours should be fine and allow faster than you would want to run anyway.
My lathe is about 3,500 lbs and I run the TBAS with most work at 400 to 600 rpm. I have accidentally spun up work to 900/1100 for a few seconds before with no vibrations or issues.
I’ve been throwing around the idea of getting a TBAS and a large bore lathe for barrel threading. I’d want it for the capability to be able to thread an assembled barreled action. With my current romi 13-5 I have to pull barrels off to thread through the headstock unless it’s a savage without a recoil lug.
Done 1 barrel with my new TBAS and it’s really nice. My Ganesh 1640 has a 2” spindle, but haven’t tried sticking a BA in it.
I was $2500 for both the true bore and 6 jaw. I can just keep the cam plate if you don’t need it. If you are curious I can take pics.
