Knowing this was coming is the whole reason she was actively campaigning for Harris. She kissed the Dem ring, she will be protected.
On top of that, a House committee referral to FBI for investigation at this point in time proves Liz is protected by the GOP old guard as well. They just tipped their hand, deliberately, to give Biden cause and excuse to run the pardon for the entire J6 House committee in advance of Trump’s folks coming into control.
It’s foolish to believe anything will come of this at all.

Technically, in my opinion, which doesn’t matter to the criminals in charge, you can’t pardon someone for a crime they are not convicted of.

I think if he wants that, he'd play the pardon himself game. If he relinquished expecting a pardon, she'd renege on it out of spite. I really do think they fucking hate each other and have zero trust between the two of them. Deservedly so.

It's never about the country for dems over the last 40 years (maybe even 60 going back to LBJ, but I give Carter a slight benefit of doubt), they would literally wipe their ass with the Constitution if they could get away with it. It's always about control.

Let them go ahead and set new standards for pardons. 2 can play at that game and we may need to use that in a few years to get some things done. What does it matter? They already do lots of illegal stuff all the time. We have a chance to fundamentally change government and we actually have some people who have the power AND want to do it.
Trump should give 1000 people blanket pardons for the next 4 years and fucking turn them loose.
After an openly criminal regime called the Biden Administration highjacked the government for four years, raking in millions of taxpayer money and doing irreparable damage to the U.S. they change the pardon rules. But not before the Bidens and other criminals are allowed to just walk away with their pardons, and taxpayer's millions.

This type of injustice makes me very angry, but I tend to calm down when I remember they might walk away from this and think they are getting away with it and they are for now, but they will walk right into judgement one day and be counted with the goats who eventually walk into eternal damnation. They will not outrun justice.

If Biden pardons the J6 committee, then it should be open season on pardons for anybody with anything to do with J6 when Trump takes office.

True. Not much that can or will be done about it, so we may as well use it and reforming it all may well require it. Yes they are super criminals but the only way we have any chance to do anything about it is to remake government, which we can and may need this new idea of pardon power to do because they will absolutely come after us for doing it if we do anything meaningful.

The republicants will. They are going to be "outraged" at what this regime has done and will pass a bill to prevent this kind of thing from ever happening again.
also don't forget, that sham committee was run by the Dems. She may have altered testimony and tampered with a witness specifically, but all of them on that committee are guilty of crimes.
Biden will pardon all of them. if not, id go grab one of them, cut a deal to testify against the others and watch them all tumble.
It's exactly the opposite of what you think. By accepting a pardon, you are admitting guilt to the crime, even if you've not actually been tried, or even charged for the crime. I strongly encourage you to reread section III A of the majority opinion with specific attention paid to the concepts of “outer perimeter”, the restriction on courts to inquire as to a president’s motives, and the idea that illegality does not make an act unofficial. No president, sitting or “ex” will be prosecuted for anything as long as this SCOTUS’ opinion stands.
Regarding Biden’s actions as VP (or senator before that) there’s no political will to follow that lead. As much as the current punditry likes to bluster about the coming storm of prosecution, ASGH. As they say.
SCOTUS set up that perimeter(if I remember correctly) to prevent frivolous litigation from being used to circumvent executive privilege.
Whatever about Liz Cheny... but how in the world did she commit a criminal act? That doesn't make sense.
I believe it was coaching and/or tampering with witnesses and withholding evidence.
If she is convicted it might lead To the overturning of all the J6 farce convictions. Have to get a lawyer to chime in. But seems to me that none of it can be trusted if she tampered the evidence.

the witness tampering is what they pre-dawn raided Roger Stone for, and he wasn't on a government committee that would make it even worse.

that's why they tried to sneak this into the cr bill. they could deny or block any subpoenas for incriminating evidence.
