I haven't made the jump to hand loads yet - and I'm still to new to the game to understand what b makes a particular round better for a particular barrel / setup.

I still get all my ammo from target sports USA. Ive been keeping track of what ammo seems to get me the best accuracy - but I was hoping for some quick suggestions.

1) 20" SS factory LMT 308 / 762 barrel - what factory ammo have people found works best? 1:11.5 twist I think.

2) 16 Larue stealth barrel 223 wylde- I've found that 223 Remington with a 62 ish weight seems to work better than 55 - but what would the experts suggest? 1/8th twist

As always - thank you!

So this guy?

I'll put in an order.

What about in 308? We have enough LMT people here using the same barrel I feel like this should be an easy answer.

Find whatever your barrel likes. Unfortunately there’s no way around spending money and testing various brands.
Safe bet, as mentioned is FGMM.
168 or 175 SMK in your *11.25tw barrel will likely perform the best but try 185 Juggernauts also. Don’t know til ya try. Also, as you may know, your ability to shoot a gas gun will have the biggest impact on accuracy. Be careful dismissing certain ammo if you don’t have the greatest ability. Just saying. May not be the ammo. Have fun!

My MWS likes the 168 fgmm, but for 168's, it has a preference for the hornady black Amax load. Overall, it shoots the 175 fgmm the best. Sort of a good, better, and best there.

All of them shoot moa or better, but it seems most consistent with the 175.

I had my LMT 308 out yesterday. Not knowing much about ammo and which ammo is best for her I was shooting 165 grain Hornady white tail 308.

My groups ranged from .38 moa to 1.05 moa when I did my part. Some were significantly wider.

The good ones I had probably would have been much better if I didn't keep getting a flyer or two.

I hope with better ammo and a better cleaning regimen to get some better results.

So please keep the ammo recommendations going!
