Dang, I had no idea that it was going all the way out to England! Did you have to do anything with customs and/or ITAR? If there's no ITAR restrictions, I would have just mailed it directly out there to you. I'm glad that you finally have it, 4 months of waiting is a long time! What rifle are you going to use it in? Pics of your build with the trigger would be awesome! I hope you like the trigger!Gristle trigger arrived safely in England this week via three different friends. Anyone who builds an amazing Tier-One rifle around a set of scope rings is my kind of guy...thought this could use a little update. finally got this build done that centered around @USMCSGT0331 rare set of scope rings. Thank you Ryan, for an incredible project and all your help! from there i spent wildly and chased all these parts down and last peice was getting my barreled action in from Long Rifles. incredible service there!

I once restored a Rolls-Royce after buying its serial-numbered rubber hammer (from the toolkit) on eBay. Found the car and bought it and rebuilt it....
Because I bought a rubber hammer.

Where did you get the Mod 5 chassis? I don't know if people realize it, but I had about 60+ Mod 5 chassis that I sold a few years ago! That puts me at well over 200 Mk13 Mod 0/3/5 kits in total that I've sold since 2017, which is much more than all the dealers COMBINED who were selling Mod 5 chassis kits a few years ago! Pretty amazing for not having a website or any social media. I know that all of the Mod 0/3 stocks originally came from me, but I'm always wondering if the Mod 5 chassis I see posted online were ones that I sold. I love seeing these builds, I've made a lot of friends by helping people with their Mk13 builds over the years.
Very nice build and thank you very much for the update! Please post a range report when you go shoot it! Anyone else do any builds with the parts that I gave out for Christmas?
So, is everyone alright with me doing another Christmas gift thread? I'm going through my spare parts right now to see what awesome stuff I have available to give away to the amazing people here on this forum, so please let me know if there's any interest in doing this again! If you guys want me to do another Christmas gift thread like the one I posted last year, I'll get new thread posted up sometime this week. Please let me know what you guys think, thank you!
I currently have 31 items from my personal collection picked out for a Christmas gift thread! I think it needs to happen, lol
Not looking to win again, but intrigued to see what magical items show up on the list this year.
You might want to take a very close look at the M40A1 scope mount in the photo, it might not work out for your build, lol. Small details matter......@USMCSGT0331 said: “Anyone see anything in the pile that they'd really like to win?”
Is that a rhetorical question, or can we tag a gift we would like if selected. Asking for a friend with a UNERTL 10X and no mount.![]()
Merry Christmas,
Greg
You are correct, the money is in the details. I have more screen shots of your pictures and posts, than I have photos of my kids. I’m constantly comparing photos and rechecking serial sequences and timelines on all things M40/A1You might want to take a very close look at the M40A1 scope mount in the photo, it might not work out for your build, lol. The M40A1 mount in the photos above is pretty much a paperweight, since the rings aren't cut in half and there is no top/bottom ring halves to separate, lol

The 2 boxes of .300 Norma Mag ammo are original boxes of test ammo from the original Barrett Mk22 sniper rifle testing! That’s a really collection of unique parts and ammo too. Very very generous of you!!
