Oddball question: anyone know if a 7mm-08 Browning BAR can be cut down to ~19" and still cycle?

I had one in 3006 it was really temperamental in stock form so wouldn't go messing with it.

I know it's been done because I shot a cut down 338. Unfortunately it's not common so finding data might be really hard to do. Might be worth trying to find some people that specialize in BARS and start there.
