Who is running 18" barrels in their ATX? Currently debating on an CSR setup with an ATX
Think I’m at 18.5

I’ve got a somewhat silly question about the new AT-XC

I just got my shipping notification that mine will be on Friday. Will my old bore guid from the first gen AT work on the AT-XC?

I know they made some sort of change to the action, but I’m curious if that affects anything as simple as a bore guide? I want to get it broken in as soon as I get it squared away, but obviously need cleaning gear to do so.

Thanks guys.

Pretty sure it will work as they only did work to the geometry of the locking lugs and took weight out of the action.

Bro there is no new at-x or anything stop speculating nobody in the at-x thread even talks about it. Did you try calling EO or MHS?

It is 2 years old rifle in production, who cares what EO does with their website. Maybe they will not buy them anymore, maybe they will not support the color or that caliber anymore, maybe it is a glitch.

If i was sitting on 100+ rifles i would melt the inventory by the end of fiscal year. Do you pay attention to the economy? Selling a $5000.00 rifle in this climate ain’t easy.

Furthermore importing from Europe are different than calling Sig or Colt and filling up stocks as needed. They receive inventory certain times during the year and it could be a miscalculation on their end forcing discounts etc.

When i bought mine in October i asked EO the question y’all discussing about and i believe i already gave the answer here.

Best of luck….

This didn't age well my friend. o_O

Thoughts on the internal WinTac AT-X weights versus those you mount to the sides? I like the idea behind the internal because they are out of sight, they sit lower and centerline with the barrel and they don't clutter up the sides of the rail. I see quite a few run the external weights but I've never heard anyone speak of the internal option. The one thing that is clear when the rifle is on the tripod is that a little more weight forward would help with stability.

Yiu may have to run both. But they work very well. If all that is needed is balance point then they should work very well. Lot of shooters just like to weigh their guns down. You’ll just have to see what works in your rifle.

I went ahead and ordered the internal weights, I'll start there and see how it shakes out. Thanks for the feedback.

Less talk more pictures....But any reason I might be having issues with the bolt not stripping the next round every so often? First AI rifle for me. Do you have to run the bolt quick/fast? I was gathering data today for the first match next weekend so I was going a little slow.

Is it a first gen rifle? They shipped a load of them with this issue. Never quite got the bottom of the probelm (AI wouldn't admit there was an issue), but generally the magazine was sitting too low in the mag well and cartridges didn't always sit flush against the mag feed lips, so the case head sat low in the rear of the mag. This combination meant the bolt head didn't properly connect with the case head, so the bolt would ride over the round. Solved in come cases by shimming the mag catch and changing the magazine follower. There was a long thread on here about the issue, but it's since disappeared.

+1 Check the SKU of your magazine.

I don't think so...believe it's a gen 3. How snug do the mags sit when properly adjusted? Im able to push up maybe an 1/8 of an inch if that when its latched in.

@cypriss32 could you confirm what gen? Did you have any issues feeding?

What's everyones rifle weight less bipod?

19.8-AT-XC, factory 24" AI barrel, ZCO 527, 1.5lbs internal WinTac weights, TBAC Ultra 7 Gen 2.

Can anyone measure their AT-X and tell me the height of the forearm bridge from the top of the chassis forearm? Not to the top of the add-on picatinny rail, but the actual bridge itself. I am trying to determine if I have clearance to run the bridge on my Anschutz AT-X chassis with the scope base (Murphy 20MOA), mount (ARC 20MOA) and scope (56mm objective) combination, without having to just buy the bridge and hope that it fits. The objective of my scope sits around 3/4" above the chassis presently FWIW.

Sorry, it's the American Rifle Company M Brace mount 20MOA, 1.5" height. All I'm trying to determine is if the AT-X forearm bridge piece will fit under my scope objective as I have it set up. I don't need a top pic rail for anything, and I only want the bridge add-on for the aesthetics of covering the barrel and to protect it from scratches (this is my 45 year old Anschutz 54.18MS action that I'm ushering back into service with a new chassis). Thanks!
