Liberty safe locks?

If you're still local to where you bought it the dealer should swing by and put in a combo lock reasonable. He should be able to have it already set to your combination.

Just got the big Revere for Christmas & the Securam electronic is supposedly EMP proof. Going to roll with that for now, but would be nice to know a good manual option for replacement.

EMP proof? If it isn't and there is an EMP I'm sure with the impending apocalypse you can call your dealer on your cell phone and they will come out and replace it. If that doesn't work you can go get in you 2025 Tacoma and it will start right up and drive to the safe dealer. Or you can walk to your dealer with the nightstand 9mm and nothing else cause all your shit is locked up in the safe with a fried "EMP Proof" pad.

It’s the same problem when your cheap built dial starts drifting

none of the electronic shit is much of anything proof. my "new" 5 y.o. suv has all kinds of shit on it that i am just waiting for it to quit working. never want to see any kind of digital shit ever again. LOL! yea, using a comp because in our world we have been forced to by the elites.
be honest and ask yourself-are we really better off than we were in pre comp times?

Not always, and same with electronic keypads.

I’ll go out on a limb and say your experience is more likely opinion or biased from a couple of experiences than based on a large number of hands on experiences.
I'm no expert. I have replaced one lock that started to drift. I did it myself. I talked to a locksmith friend that told me how to open it. IIRC it was one number off one direction on all three numbers. Prior it was not opening but every third or forth try. Then it wouldn't open at all.

Based on my friends recommendations I replaced the lock with another combo.

I hate the thought of adding electronics to the game when it comes to accessing my stuff. Electronic device that based on someones promise that it is EMP safe but if its not you will find out the hard way.

Ah, so one experience I figured.

haven't seen a manual FS local in 2-3 yrs. wonder if they are still made. even the cheap ones on amazon are digital.
Yes they are, but it’s not 1965 and electronics are much better if you don’t buy the cheapest model. Using the right brand of batteries oddly enough makes a difference according to the manufactures.

All I can say is based on personal experience.

I know at least 6 people who had to replace electronic locks, and I don't know anyone personally who has replaced a combo S&G lock.
I haven't replaced one yet, but I DO have a spare on hand, just in case I need to one day. Something about the smooth mechanicals though... they are almost bullet-proof.

Well, the door is.... HA.
