Has anyone here trained at Rifles Only? I’m into precision shooting and have been practicing on my own because I want to participate in PRS competitions. One of my friends keeps recommending that I take a formal training course. He took his at K&M Shooting Complex in Tennessee, but it’s too far for me. I live in Houston, so I’m considering Rifles Only down in Kingsville, Texas. The price seems reasonable, and it’s not too far, so I think it’s worth checking out.

Has anyone here taken their Precision Rifle Course I & II? What’s your opinion? It seems pretty popular—they’ve got a lot of podcasts and some good reviews. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Yep! Covers lots of fundamentals which are...pretty fundamental...depending how far along you are on your journey some of it may be redundant.
I shot a couple matches up in college station to get my feet wet then went to Jacob for some private lessons just to tune up the things I was bad at (the you don't know what you don't know part)--no regrets at this approach

Not only is Rifle's Only good, as someone that has taken one of their off-campus classes and a few from other outfits in the PR world, I would say the class's Jacob puts on are some of the best. I still use my experience with Jacob as a reference to compare all others against.

A second I would highly recommend is Andy Slade of Rifleman's path, If you ever have the opportunity, take it.

They have a satellite operation in upstate NH. It is 3 hours from me and taught by a gentleman named Mike Mayo. He has worked under/with Jacob for a LONG time. I took the Precision Rifle I and II last October. I couldn't take my annual class with Frank and Mark due to a change of date for a work event that I couldn't miss.

I didn't know what to expect, but it was FANTASTIC. Mike was a fantastic instructor. The class was small, so we got a lot of attention. I joined the range after the class was complete since it is relatively close, has 1,200 yards, and the town's nightlife is amazing. My wife goes with me and has lots to do while I shoot.

I can't imagine that the one in TX would be any different.
